Probably many times more if you include hunger victims, suicide victims, health victims (from people not being able to see their doctors) etc…

Joe Biden is urging Americans to stay home and limit their holiday travel this year amid a surge in the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Biden, who has been declared president-elect by many media outlets, made the remarks on Wednesday during a virtual roundtable with workers impacted by the virus. The former vice president, in particular, spent a portion of the event telling those in attendance that despite there being promising news about a vaccine, it is important to remain cautious for the time being.

“I hope you are listening because, as with all the trouble you’re going through, you can not be traveling during these holidays,” Biden said. . . .

. . . . “Christmas is going to be a lot harder,” . . .

. . . Biden’s request that individuals limit their travels during the holiday season comes as elected officials and public health experts across the country are doing the same. Such calls, though, have not been without controversy, especially as some Democratic politicians have been caught violating their own stay at home orders.

On Wednesday, in particular, a local news outlet made national headlines after it reported that the mayor of Austin, Texas, had recorded a video urging his city’s residents to “stay home” while vacationing in Mexico. . . .

Deaths attributed to COVID are not necessarily directly the result of the virus. If a person has COVID, but dies of a stroke, the death will be attributed COVID. The numbers are skewed.

Driving a car puts you at risk from death as well. You have to count the cost. People need to assess their own risk tolerance.

I’m going to ignore the newbies. We only have a short time left on this forum and it seems they have joined in droves to make a final push for their agenda.
 
These weird anecdotes are no substitute for statistics. More people are dying each day due to covid-19 than were killed in the entire 9/11 attack on our nation. And you know what a big deal we made of those one-time deaths. Well, now we have that every single day.

I’ve had two high school classmates die from Covid, and a friend’s husband came very close to dying. He was on a vent for over a month.
