Do you have to misread most of my responses?
Dear Ignatian,

No, I don’t believe God blesses a decision to discriminate between men for all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. But it’s up to God to decide to bless your choices or not.

We are not to judge. It is for God to make that judgement.

The ultimate decision about whether to bless your choices is up to God. I can’t speak for Him. How can I possibly tell you in your case what God will decide or confirm??

Say for instance you do not mix with the ungodly then that is not a bad separation because to keep away from vice and immorality and places that breed them is noble.

But if we condescend virtuous people who are non Christian I think that is wrong.

You didn’t really clearly define what you meant by non Christian. Virtuous non Christian or ungodly non Christian? What if a non Christian, an ungodly non Christian comes to your church? Will you turn him away secretly in your heart or try and help him to see the truth??

(What if)You were a non Christian once? What if Christians didn’t want to mix with you because you were a non Christian would you have been saved?

This sort of response which doesn’t actually take my criticism of you “blessing” my choice is what turns me off about Bahai. You have had to frame it differently in order to divert attention from what you originally said. Let me ask you clearly, do you think God blesses my choice of firmly dividing between Christianity and Non Christianity? Firmly declaring there is no real union between the non Christian and the Christian? I don’t think you do.
God allows your choice as God allows mine.

As to Gods judgment on these matters, who am I to answer that? Mine is to turn the other cheek and look for good in all.

There is one that Judges these matters and my Prayer is may Gods Will be done for you and all.

May we all submit to Gods Will, each person must walk that path themselves.

Regards Tony.

You guys have got to stop the food talk!!
I’m currently sat watching the kids devour a Japanese teriyaki chicken.

Don’t ask me why!

The Catholics and Christians here are remarkable people!!

I know a good person when I speak to one and the people here are kind, extremely patient and tolerant, knowledgeable, understanding, thoughtful, SINCERE and love their Lord with all their hearts.

Here is a truly spiritual forum and my words may not mean much to anyone but I thing you are beautiful people. I would have you in my home, feed you and treat you like family. You have shown to me that you are good and godly people.

If your kind of just, fair and noble people were ruling Iran we would all be free instead of in prisons and death row for our beliefs.

I pray that all the people here especially the Catholics who put up with us so forbearingly get blessings showered upon them by Lord Jesus. That all their problems, difficulties whether worldly or other are cleared up and that the Lord bestow upon them all His gifts for these people are kind and just.

Sorry dear Kam. Tests can also come in the form a chicken!!🐔🐔

You seem to get have gotten mix-uped. We are discussing the behaviour of your gods. Please refrain from changing this topic of your god to mine. Expanding your catchment area will not help you answer questions about your god. Issues of other Catholics have no bearing on my questions to you about your god(s).

If you are not sure whether your quotes are authentic or not, why do you rebuke me for not getting my fact right? That is shameful.

And I am waiting for your rebuttal of my quote that say Krishna prayed to another god other than himself. That will make your allegation of monotheism invalid. There is nothing invalid about my quote isn’t it?

I don’t look for your answers in someone else’s posts. If you wish to rebut, then do it here. It is ok to cut and paste.

Did Buddha teach anyone to worship (one) God? I quickly went thought his teachings. 3 Universal Truths, 4 Noble Truths, Noble Eightfold path. Nothing to point to worship of a one true god. Ven. Piyadassi, Thera from Buddha Dharma Education Association wrote this about him:

he was a human being having no connection whatsoever with a God or any other “supernatural” being. He was neither God nor an incarnation of God, nor a prophet, nor any mythological figure. He was a man, but an extraordinary man (acchariya manussa), a unique being, a man par excellence (purisuttama).

This is at odds of what you claim for Buddha. You have usurped the teachings of another religion.
Hi eric

First of all. We believe in the same God as Christians so the inconsistencies He has shown to you from your perspective is the exact same inconsistencies that He has shown a Jew when looking at what Jesus taught.

Do you entertain a Jew that implies that the Christian God is different to the Jewish God? No!
It’s the same God. So there is no need for the “your God”/“my God” divisions…

In regards to Krishna etc, the reason I say there is a lack of authenticity on the Scripture is because there is teachings indicating monotheism and there are teachings indicating polytheism. I rebuked you because you are claiming as FACT that He taught polytheism.

In the Upanishads Krishna states: “And how many Gods are there? One.”

So please regard and take into account “authenticity”
Same goes for Buddha and Zoroaster.

Authenticity increases with the Old and New Testaments and the Quran and the Baha’i Writings are all authenticated by Baha’u’llah Himself.

.

My question is who is Bahaullah to claim that he is a valid manifestation of god. Himself? Then he need to act like one. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons etc. The last thing anyone expect is a god usurping power from his brother or getting rid of those that disagree with him. Same goes with Bab. Since Bab failed to establish himself as a genuine god manifest, all subsequent lines after him is also tainted by the invalidity.

At some point, you will have to realize that Bahaullah is just a mere mortal who had an opportunity to elevate himself. I am sorry but that is the blunt truth.

My religion nor Judaism is the topic here.

First we must know he is God, in nature , in spirit as well as in act. None of that in proven in Bahaullah. It is self-claimed.

I already established the fact that Bahais do not believe in the physical resurrection of of the man Christ. Which mean that you are insinuating that Jesus lied about his bodily resurrection. Whether Thomas touched or not is immaterial. Point is, Jesus offered.

There is nothing about St Paul that you can tell me from a religion that is barely 200 years old. Unless he manifested to you and told you secret things that is not in the Bible. He is a proponent of the risen Christ BTW. In his words “risen from the dead” which you vehemently oppose.

There were no real answers yet. But you did take the time to attempt to introduce other non-relevant topics.

That is not the topic we are arguing. We are not arguing whether he has hidden unproven capabilities or not. One could be bluffing.

Irrelevant. You can claim Abraham and Moses were Tom and Jerry manifestations too. By the same logic, because the Bible didn’t say Abraham and Moses were not Tom and Jerry, therefore they are Tom and Jerry manifested/reincarnated?? :rotfl:
Irrelevant. The topic of Abraham and Moses stands on its own. The results of other situations do not have a causal relationship. That is a form of fallacious reasoning too.

Bahaullah is not proven to be god manifested. It is a self-claim. So what he says about anyone else is just his own personal opinions.

You can start another thread on holistic discussion of Christian scriptures. There are persons more knowledgeable about Scriptures than me. I assure you no one is turning a blind eye.

This thread was created to focus on Bahai claims and questions, not Christian. So here I am, asking you Bahai related questions. I am just slowly going through those old books written on Bahai history asking you to verify or explain them. Slowly going through Bahai claims about other religions. So far, how many of those religions agree with your take on them? You don’t have many remaining left. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism disagree with you.
It seems, Eric, that whatever I post is “irrelevant” much to my dismay, since I am being sincere with my responses.

I guess from your post, you are unconvinced that Baha’u’llah is who He is. During His lifetime, in a Muslim country, where the transcendence of God is a central teaching, some of the leading clerics, indeed THE cleric for the Shah of Iran were quite happy to consider Him God. That’s not a claim Baha’u’llah made, that’s proven historical fact, as related by others (similar to the Gospel writers). Luckily, the history is recent enough for the memoirs of a large proportion of the followers of Baha’u’llah to be still available and accessible.

Anyway, I’m getting irrelevant again.

I’ll leave you with a link to read, from an official Baha’i source, (not some upset Christian with an axe to grind), which will help you decide on the Bab and Baha’u’llah for yourself:

Baha’u’llah is not God as Christ is not God. They Both spoke for God that’s all.

“Certain ones among you have said: “He it is Who hath laid claim to be God.” By God! This is a gross calumny. I am but a servant of God Who hath believed in Him and in His signs, and in His Prophets and in His angels. My tongue, and My heart, and My inner and My outer being testify that there is no God but Him, that all others have been created by His behest, and been fashioned through the operation of His Will. There is none other God but Him, the Creator, the Raiser from the dead, the Quickener, the Slayer. I am He that telleth abroad the favors with which God hath, through His bounty, favored Me. If this be My transgression, then I am truly the first of the transgressors”

Excerpt From: Bahá’u’lláh. “Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh.”

Hi David, in the Tablet to Jamal-i-Burujirdi Baha’u’llah does state that some may consider Him the “Person (haykal) of the Manifestation (of God, zuhúr) as the Appearance of God ([Himself]”

…as opposed to the position where God is transcendent from His Manifestation.

He states that both positions are true. Have a read and see what you think:

The quote I posted was from a Letter of the Universal House of Justice on the subject. They mention I think the Tablet you are referring to.

…there is a Tablet in which He referred to this. He explains that there are differences in the levels of understanding of individuals. Some see the reflection of the Essence of God Himself in the temple of His Manifestation; others see the Manifestation as the Revealer of God and regard His commands and prohibitions to be identical with the ordinances of God. Both views, Bahá’u’lláh says, are acceptable, (Universal House of Justice)

Thank you Joey,

Ok so my understanding is the false prophet, false Christ and wolf in sheeps clothing is materialism and consumerism. Because they promise ‘happiness’. “Buy this and all your troubles will be over”…

And they come on tv as such nice ‘lambs’ dressed in short skirts trying to sell a car or even poison one with alcohol. They dance, wiggle a bit and then they gradually become the "new Christ’. Attracting men to their caves of desire.

Trust me they say. I can give you everything they say…(just hand over your soul) and so the night clubs and brothels and casinos entice man into a ‘false paradise’ of sin.

This is the false religion of today - materialism.
