The body is a 7 hole doughnut.
It isn’t inconceivable to apply some sort of disinfection at key places to reduce the chances or strength of infection at or just within these points.
Trump is clever…thinking outside the box.
Already we use oral rinses and eye rinses. More crudely yet recently very popular, we use enemas or colon washes to cleanse infections and impurities .
So to those of you that continue to rip at the President…

niceatheist . . . .
The criticism is Trump’s inability to just stand there and let experts . . .
No it’s not.

The actions of the left gave that away a long time ago.

I have no idea what Trump meant here (like I said, probably just anti-viral agents), you would have to ask him.

But one thing is for sure he DIDN’T MEAN.
He did NOT mean to start injecting lysol etc.

And everyone knows that or should know it.

“Trump is clever thinking outside the box?”
Those poor distinguished medical experts must have felt so inadequate in the presence of his( leave this field empty and imagine)

It sure sounded like Trump did mean injecting disinfectant into the human body. The way he said it and the way he looked at the medical experts for validation strongly indicated that he was serious about that.

PaulinVA:
There must be some reason that Lysol said this:
A couple of reasons.
To mitigate liability for misuse of their products.
To jump on the bandwagon.
One should never discount the political motivations of anyone. For this reason alone, the mere fact that Lysol made a statement is not very relevant, especially in light of the glaringly huge issue of Trump commenting about something he has less knowledge on than most grade school kids.
You can’t listen to a three minute video and tell the world what he said.
Yes, you can. It is called quoting. I understand it can be written off as a goof. Such things happen with everyone. My concern has always been that most people have at least some humility that tempers their ego. When one lacks any sense of one’s own limitations and ignorance, then he cannot effectively lead in any area outside his expertise.

love my husband very much. If he suggested this I would tell him he was incorrect. If my older relatives suggested this, I’d make sure they knew not to ingest Clorox. I would keep it out of reach of my children.

Trump says it, it’s wrong. But instead of saying he was wrong, it’s defended.
Did Trump say to ingest Clorox?

He suggested injections of disinfectant as a potential cure.
He then told the doctors to basically look into the efficacy of his idea.
Let me ask you honestly, didn’t you feel terrible for doctors who are truly accomplished to be asked to nod and say ," wow, why didn’t I think of that. Brilliant.!"
Or," get right on that promising idea, drop everything and get on that."
At some point…

A fair minded person would show up when he does something good, or something all Catholics can get behind. There is plenty. You choose not to ever do so. Why is not exactly a mystery.

Again, let’s stop with calling out partisan Trump supporters unless we want to call out people like you who disappear when good news abounds.

I have said before I wish he’d tweet more discriminately, not because I disagree, but because it becomes unnecessary fodder that stirs things up. I don’t need to see him talking in a stream of consciousness manner because it bothers some people, and ultimately, adds nothing of necessity. I find that it makes him more relatable, but that’s me.

The bottom line is there are just as many that will never see any good in the man as there are those who are loathe to critique him. I personally, think he has been a Godsend for this country, and pray constantly for reelection and continued success. You are free to do the opposite.

You obviously can’t stand President Trump.
Why can’t President Trump think logically outside the box?

I can’t even believe so many have had little or nothing to say here about freedom of speech and thinking logically outside the box.

Wouldn’t it be great if scientists can expound on this thought and device some sort of safe filtration or disinfection application for the ‘holes’ in our body?
Talk about that!

No in fact it was clearly stated that bleach was not to used for hands since no study had been done prior to this.

Trump looked at the medical expects asking about future research projects and what would they entail. He actually did ask for their thoughts.

Trump didn’t say injest Clorox. He suggested to renowned medical experts and scientists that maybe INJECTING disinfectant could cure Covid-19. Then he asked that they look into that.
Then
The same! This time with putting light into people.
Let’s not indulge straw men

Their thoughts?
These are renowned scientists and doctors.
How can their thoughts be anything other than how is this moment possible.

Exactly. Antibiotics would have evidenced a different lack of medical training and knowledge, then ask real famous doctors , scientists and experts to consider what in their world begins as incoherence

He made a statement about the wonders of research and how science can understand new things everyday. He stated he is deeply impressed with the new information on the virus. These are renowned scientists and doctors.

Are you joking? Putting UV lights inside people? Injecting household cleaning products?

I have seen the man say some downright insane things, but this was absolutely bonkers.

The fact that the makers of Lysol felt they had to put out a press release telling people not ingest their products because of something the President of the United States said during a press conference is mind boggling. Think about that.

I am glad we got that cleared up also. I want to address the real words not a straw man.

You might want to text Chris Cuomo’s wife.Apparently she has taken to bathing in bleach. A real brainiac there

That’s exactly what Trump said. It’s scary to me that a man of such stupidity is our President. I knew (second-hand through a friend of mine who was an acquaintance of Trump’s) that he was not the brightest, but had no idea he was so ignorant about common knowledge.
