Thanks for identifying the outrageous defense of Trump’s comments and false characterization that there are culprits behind these claims about Trump’s own comments…
A few things to dispel the “fake president-ing " that the media did somethingv wrong
COMPANIES ISSUED WARNINGS TO CONSUMERS NOT TO CONSUME OR INJECT. That wasn’t done out of a conspiracy against Trump!

Trump out of his own mouth described injection of disinfectant as a potential cure.
HE LIED ON THE PODIUM that those brilliant doctors were somehow asking the same question
And
That they should look into it.
He also repeated with respect to ,” light inside of people."
This is not a 2 year old with thumb in mouth, blue blankee, broadcasting a stream of consciousness about his make believe world of science.
It is outrageous anyone would put the blame on listeners

I edited my post a half hour ago or so and removed the reference to personality cult…I apologize as my wording was too harsh. I stand by my revised post.
A press briefing is not the time for the President to “brainstorm” or “think out loud”. People are hanging on his every word…suggesting that doctors look into injecting disinfectant into the lungs is a stupid suggestion. When that statement is made to the public in the context of a press briefing, it deserves to be called out. He can brainstorm all he likes behind closed doors with his medical advisers.

Trump has made a statement that is in error. He really should tweet that he was wrong in suggesting what he did and that it risks fatalities.
Then repeat his retraction in a new televised press conference.

i believe your question was about bleach and I repeatedly said that it was a discussion on non porous materials such as counter tops and had nothing to do with Trump’s statement on disinfectants. It was at a totally different time

Alcohol was the term used. There was a whole discussions on how alcohol kills quickly prior to the comment made by Trump.

And I also answered about stupid people and the Lysol statement so what is it you are asking?

Trump True Believers and Biden devotees are both backing the wrong horse IMO. As much as I think Trump is a terrible politician…Biden is far worse in so far as his support of abortion goes. Lysol was not specifically named, the term used was disinfectant by Trump.

Disinfectants mentioned in the slide by the doctor were bleach and isopropyl alcohol, not lysol and alcohol.

Bleach was named and yes I have used it but bleach was mentioned and a thorough explanation was given on how to use it properly on non porous materials. These discussion took place way before the Trump comment.

I said if you have read my comments that Lysol issued a statement to protect itself because in reality a few stupid people may listen to news sources and misinterpret what was said.

People are looking for leadership at this time, People are worried, life is not normal, death is one result of getting this virus, as are long term health effects. Knowledge of this virus is scant at best, It is being written as it is discovered.

These are the times that make or break a person who stands up and says hey I am a leader. People listen and think oh I might try it, inhale me some bleach, just as there was a mad scramble on the Malaria drug. A leader needs to know what power and influence is in his or her words. A leader cannot afford to be flippant at times like this when addressing the public.

There are lots of folk who would think nothing of inhaling bleach. Its marketed as a cleaner, but what is it really?

I think Trump shouldn’t go stream of consciousness in his briefings, for what it is worth. Too many things can be taken literally, out of context, or worst of all, jumped on by his critics. I think he has done tremendous job overall, but agree this benefits no one.

ok so did you read the MsDS for the bleach when you used it, what safety precautions did you take? Did you even know you should take safety precautions or use bleach at certain dilutions? Did you inhale the fumes and realise that could damage your lungs. Did you wear chemical resistant gloves, eye protection, foot protection?

If not, you did not use bleach correctly and many would not know that either. They are not stupid people. They just dont realise how corrosive bleach is. Its damage is irreversible.

The dry chemical that is marketed as bleach ill start burning through your skin and just keep going.
