She even said so herself, today.

Selective quoting. That’s not where her comments begin and her words were in direct response to something that ends with a “?”. Somehow, poor Brietbart would enjoy engaging in this debate, methinks.

Rosen, unwisely and uncharitably, pulled out some old
tunes from the 1970s. The tunes were very insulting then
and they’re even more insulting now. Such thinking was
beaten to the ground back then - as is happening now.

She imagines she’s digging new ground with a snarky
remark about women who have no jobs outside their homes?

How old is Rosen? Ten yrs old?
(No offense to ten year olds, of course.)

PS - just checked on Hilary Rosen and if I found the proper
Hilary Rosen then she was 11 yrs old when 1970 dawned.
Guess she hasn’t read much history.

You forget to put this last part in quotes and link it.

Maybe you were influenced by this Romney quote, "“Women account for 92.3 percent of the jobs lost under Obama” which has been fact checked as “mostly false”
 
In attempt to cut through all the chatter, there is one single phrase that has caused the most chagrin (from Rosen):

His (Romney’s) wife has actually never worked a day in her life!

The very idea that raising five children somehow can be equated with never having worked a day in her life is what has gotten many upset. Most people realize that staying at home with five children is a far more stressful, and far more difficult, day of work–than what almost everyone else does.

Rosen needs to apologize for having made such an insulting comment. IMO.

With your interpretation that she’s only referring to “working women”? Even though Rosent today clarifies that she was speaking about “all women”? 🤷

I heard Ann Romney’s response to Rosen’s criticism and it was graceful and quite dignified. Very well done, Mrs. Romney. Ms. Rosen is probably foaming at the mouth that you got a chance to respond to her snarkiness. Good.

from the 1970s and aimed them at Ann Romney.

Bad idea.

Of course. Concluding with “Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance” surely is the sign of a contrite heart.
