On Tuesday, campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Tuesday that Obama’s speech would happen at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday “rain or shine, similar to other events at the stadium. Of course, there are many sports teams that I hear do some business there.”

I have a dumb question, but why do they need to have multiple locations? Is Obama too good to speak in the same location as the rest of the Dems?

Democrats removing the word “God” from their platform is not a winning idea. It has no chance of gaining any votes for the Democrats–so one has to wonder why they made the change. It is a net loss no matter how one looks at the issue.
They are trying to fire up the base, even at the risk of losing every independent, to avoid a landslide.🙂

Dems to reinstate language on Jerusalem
NBC News has learned that the Democratic Party will reinstate the language recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
Republicans – including the Romney campaign – criticized President Obama and the Democrats after it was discovered this language had been omitted in the Democratic Party’s platform
This will all be changed on the floor today, NBC has learned, and it will probably mean just simply reinstating the 2008 language

Bet this has to do with concern with the Jewish vote

Amidst Boos And Multiple Votes, DNC Reverses Position And Reinstates Jerusalem

In a stunning reversal Wednesday, the Democratic Party reinserted the words God and Jerusalem into their 2012 platform over the audible objections of at least half the crowd inside the Time Warner Cable Arena

Many delegates booed Jerusalem and God being added. Gov Strickland looked shocked

They are moving to the much smaller location due to lack of people interested in seeing Obama.Even offering to bus them in and free tickets wasn’t enough inducement. However, the Dems will have you believe it’s because of the strong chance for rain, which by the way is 20 percent!:rolleyes:

I thought he was speaking at the larger BOA stadium?

I wonder how Cardinal Dolan’s benediction will be received tomorrow night? I’m expecting him to use the same one he used at the RNC. I’ll have to watch it on C-Span.

Why doesn’t he just speak in the stadium that already has all the people in it?

My guess is that he’ll be received politely. If I"m wrong it will be a black-eye for the party, especially if he delivers the same RNC Benediction.

Because truth be told, there aren’t that many people attending,so moving to a smaller venue,it will appear to be a packed stadium.

We all need to pray for his safety.

Maybe because the cameras will pan over the empty seats?

🤷

I don’t understand why he was supposed to speak in BofA stadium in the first place. Weird.
