There is no official national language in the United States. You know that don’t you? If you speak of the present only, there are a lot who do speak Spanish to this date.

Yes, the Democrats voted against amendments to make it the official language. Harry Reid called it “racict” as did some other Democrats. But it was voted as the common unifying language of the US and you do know don’t you that legend has it that English only defeated German by a single vote to become the official language of the United States, in a 1795 Congressional debate. Maybe our nightly news and NBC and MSNBC broadcasts should be entirely in Spanish instead of English every night or maybe the next debate should be entirely in Spanish?

That would sure separate the fakers who only know a sentence or two from those who can really speak it.

Of course, that might have appeal to some suburban Anglos who will think it’s “little brown brother cute”, but lots of Hispanics know their kids really can’t quite speak Spanish with any real fluency, so it won’t make much impression on those.

Pope Benedict said we cannot vote for an abortion supporter unless for proportionate reasons, i.e. to oppose an equally grave evil.
The clause following “i.e.” is just your option. It is not a proper representation of the concept of proportionate reasons. It is binding on no one.

Good, maybe she can gain some name recognition to run for Senator or something. I can’t imagine more than 4 or five debaters seriously running for President.

who are these good Dems you speak of?
Living undercover I imagine. Enough to give Democrats the majority in the House but trying to avoid the press. I’m still waiting for someone to interview Lipinski but know that’s not in his best interest.

Yea, Biden didn’t perform to a discerning listener, someone seeking more substance than soundbites to clap for
Asked to name the first thing he would try to do after being elected president, Biden said that he would “defeat Donald Trump.” Did he mean in battle?
So clearly Biden has late-stage TDS, or maybe Alheimzers

I skimmed the highlights on youtube. Harris definitely rattled him. He looked lost, elderly, and frankly he looked like he was going to burst into tears at any second. A few times he seemed like he had a hard time getting the words out.

He looked kind of lost out there a few times. He was showing his age clearly.

I think they all look angry. Elizabeth Warren reminds me of a puppet, her head is always popping up and down when she speaks.

I liked Mayor Pete when he spoke of love as the last vestige of civility and how he feels the other side has lost it and can never claim it again.

I like that Tulsi since I saw her on a more personal interview. Decent, calm and not all excited…but I’ll bet she could get tough…lol

I liked Biden regardless of this non-sensical accusation…Obama’s wing man is not racist…Which brings me to the one every one is talking about right now, Kamila Harris. Tough enough, but that’s all I know of her…oh well. It will be interesting.

Here’s a link to the poll.

A majority of Republicans call it pandering; and independents are, within MoE, evenly split.
For others, and overall, a strong majority does not see this as pandering, but either call it respectful or don’t know.
