The Dems…they are pandering but of course they do t see it that way

A strong majority said either it wasn’t or they weren’t sure so that leaves me to believe the pandering is up for debate within that group

He has had enough years role playing D.C. politician. The years are way too many and he never had a great leadership/working skill to start with - it was all smiles and giggles. He stumbled off following his wife at the conclusion of the circus performance.

Actually no. The strong majority included those who thought the gesture was respectful about a third) and those who answered “don’t know” (about a quarter). Hard to see how “don’t know” might mean “up for debate”, rather than “don’t know”.

So no,
neither of those are a majority,
let alone a strong majority.

The ‘pandering’ vote was the closest to getting a majority

Please re-read the thread. The strong majority was the sum of “respectful” and don’t know".
A majority of Republicans call it pandering; and independents are, within MoE, evenly split.
For others, and overall, a strong majority does not see this as pandering, but either call it respectful or don’t know.

Ahh, so you are making up your own categories
You are persistent, never admit you got it wrong.

Face it, “they Pandered” was the biggest group,
add half of the next group and it puts them over 50% (the def of majority)

I said what I said in post #64, contrasting with your post that addressed the 42% minority who say the the candidate are pandering. A strong majority does not say that hte candidates are pandering. is something so obvious lost on you?

Well if I include all but the sycophant category, I have a supermajority of people who likely believe they are pandering/buying votes.

Seriously? Don’t know means they were undecided which in turns means it’s up for debate.Seems pretty clear to me

They lines in Spanish were probably memorized a week before the debate. Would have been interesting if the Telemundo translators asked them a question in Spanish. There were a lot of American Latinos who also were not amused and thought there Spanish was “poor”.

  • The first debate was won by [Elizabeth Warren], who combined facts with passion. There were also breakout performances by Julián Castro and Cory Booker.
  • The second debate was won, hands down, by Kamala Harris, with strong performances by Pete Buttigieg and Kirsten Gillibrand.
  • The clear losers on stage were “traditional” candidates – white men again – most notably Beto O’Rourke and [Joe Biden].
  • The main loser off stage was NBC News – not just for an embarrassing technical glitch with the microphones in the first debate, but also for the format of the debates.
