I’ve never heard Pres. Obama called “Barry Soetero”, and I don’t know what that means. Please don’t tell me because then it will stick in my mind.

I had serious disagreements with many of Pres. Obama’s policies and methods, and his comment about “guns and religion” was so incredibly hurtful that I was never able to forget about it. (Same with Secy. Clinton’s insulting "deplorables/irrideemables),

But I can’t remember ever hearing him called any names. Maybe it’s because Pres. Obama was the Senator from our state. I think people were very careful not to call him names, as African Americans over the years have faced a lot verbal cruelty, and it would be a very bad thing to call names that might appear (or actually be) racist about the President of the United States. The foolish and mean-spirited person who made such comments would be in lots of trouble and would probably never be respected or able to find profitable work again, and possibly even be in trouble with the law…

Again, I think name calling is very hurtful, and it’s probably the one thing I truly wish that Pres. Trump would learn not to do. I also wish that the conservative radio hosts would stop with the name calling–it demeans them and casts doubt upon the truth of their statements.

Except that Barry Soetero was Barack Obama own name from birth…till his step father adopted him or something. It was Barack Obama’s name until he changed it… Sheesh. It’s not racist or demeaning to call someone by their name… oh I forgot about calling a child by the name he/she wishes to go by or get fired from your teaching job… I’m not really familiar with the history… Was his (Barack’s) name changed legally? Just asking… no animus intended, really. I’ll go look it up…

I believe Soetero was his stepfather’s name - the last name of his mother’s 2nd
husband from Indonesia.
I don’t know if Barack was legally adopted by him or how long he used the last name.
In Indonesia, I believe his school records
showed him as Barry Sortero.

And don’t call Trump “cheeto” the snowflakes just can’t handle it. They seem to be fine with Trump dishing out the insults, but they can’t handle their dear leader being insulted.

It doesn’t matter if it is racist or not. Trump has no protections under any sort of discrimination laws. Anything one says about him is fair game.

Who is denying him service? But, the answer is yes, you certainly are free to deny Trump any service you like. You have no obligation to Don whatsoever. We have to remember, Don works for us, we don’t work for him. We have no obligation to him in any form.

You said he has no protection under discrimination laws. I thought race was a protected class under the 1964 civil rights act? Trump is U.S. citizen. Why would he have no protection under anti discrimination laws?

First of all, orange is not a race. Second, how is he being discriminated against? He doesn’t seem to have a problem with being called “cheeto”. Some of his supporters do. Why do they have standing to file a discrimination complaint?
