Joe, this virus kills EVERYONE. Babies; teens; the healthy; the ill; anybody.

Wouldn’t it be better to err on the side of caution, and life?

Your posts sound disturbingly like “I’m healthy so this isn’t my problem, how dare you make it so.”

The first, I repeat, the FIRST, baby died of COVID yesterday. There were public figures crying and putting on a show. Big display of emotion. (Again, for those that want to accuse me of being heartless, not caring, or showing no regard for life, that baby’s death is tragic and sad). Then after the 5 minute segment, they very very quickly made the comment, almost softly, and the hospital is doing an investigation into whether some other cause contributed to the baby’s death.

And so you don’t think there is a massive emotional bias going on here?

You can call it whatever you want. God wanted people to be free, which is why he gave us intellect and freedom of choice. The freedom to choose right over wrong, good over evil and to self-govern, rather than to be robots or servants forced to love and “choose” right.

And the progressive godless people have no reason to keep America free.

Joe, with due respect, if you think the crying of the family of a dead baby were “putting on a show,” with “a big display of emotion,” you’ve made the single most classless post I’ve seen in 10 years as a member of this board.

Please reread my comment. I said public figures. AKA: MEDIA

Where were they when they killed 50,000,000 babies (for abortion)? It’s a show.

I never said the family.

I’m out for now… this is raising my blood pressure and I’m making a point to lower it by doing something else for a while.

We are upset. Disappointed. Even angry.

With whom? Why direct it at the priests or bishops? Why seek a way to disobey - if not our shepherds - then common sense and charity toward others?

Are we not in the princedom of the evil one? Does he not have something - at some level - to do with this?
“Through the envy of the devil, death entered the world” - Wisdom 2:24
Does it shock us that we see this played out on a global scale - when the devil himself is global in nature?

Anger is a passion that is appropriately used to oppose evil. Where is our obedience which counters the death brought about by disobedience?

Where is the prayer that is driven by our response to evil?

While releasing countless prisoners for related “public safety” reasons. Spoken like a Marxist. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, ok… nevermind then

Then focus in yours please.

Don’t know if anyone mentioned this already, but during the Black Plague they would sometimes hold Mass in an open air environment (ie outside).
That seems like an option now. Perhaps we could ask our dioceses to do that at least for Easter Sunday?

Europe also lost 1/3 of its population, so maybe open air Masses should also have been avoided.

Cause and Effect. You are assuming one resulted in the exacerbation of the other. We have no proof of that.

No, it is absolutely not “doable.”
This type of thinking scares me more than those who are flaunting the orders. We will not be locked down two or three weeks. We need protocols that will serve for months. This virus is not magic. Mass is as doable as treating the sick, which can be treated. I find it far more foolish treating this virus like it is some sort of mysterious transmission we cannot possible avoid. Wooooo.

I honestly dont know the answer, but if my priest consecrates the host, can He come over and place it on my window sil when I am at home? Then I can take it from Him and He can see me on the other side of the glass pane.

If it goes into that very special holder when going to the sick, can that be mailed?

I am a new Catholic and dont know the correct answer

But that’s exactly why Masses are not public right now. We do know how it’s transmitted and how to avoid it. So we are.

Well, when you’re done mocking me with your "woooooo"s, why not actually address the questions I posed above, to which you responded “woooooo.”?

My asking some questions of davetv scared him off. Until and unless you can work out the actual issues presented, your idea is, precisely what the world is full of: a one-man pet idea for allegedly solving some problem that will, if implemented, make matters worse.

This problem of public mass is unsolveable, because by necessity it entails putting more people together; outside their homes; and partaking of the Eucharist - which is just a catastrophically bad idea at present, to say nothing of the details I’ve raised that no one is willing to answer. As I mentioned, davetv vanished when some questions were put to him.

Nobody likes this reality, and some
Want to rail against it. Some fewer cook up plans to circumvent it. But there’s a reason for the phrase, “the devil’s in the details.”

Further, even if something is “doable” shouldn’t the question be asked, “it’s doable…but is it smart to do it?”

Not on the sil itself, but on the sil while its in the special holder…the same one they use for taking to the people who are ill at home.

The glass pane would be like the screen being used at cash registers now to shield the cashiers.

when I was ill, someone brought me the host in this special container, so I thought maybe it could also be mailed?

Thank you.

My friend brought it to me last year in a small round container.

Thanks for the great information.

I will just stay and obey and pray

May God have mercy upon us and upon the whole world.

Blessed Mother, pray for us!
