There is no way, any man w fraternity, flirtatious behavior would continue to proceed w that behavior, after ME TOO! Especially, POTUS in his position. Melania in her new role can have more power than before.
God, only knows. You and I can only pray and look for the good that God is performing in His believers. POTUS is a believer. His Spirituality is unique unto himself. The speed at which each of us chose to grow, depends mostly on our choices and responses to life experiences.
We are challenged to pray for our Pres. and Congress.

Hmm…

Did Trump say that? Or was that an inaccurate name tacked on to a group of people he was commenting about?

Yes, he really, truly said it, and he was referencing the White Supremacists.

Now, are you proud of him for saying what he really means, or are you going to say “he really didn’t mean that!”?

Excuse me…

He said that about BOTH sides. Although some would like to SPIN it otherwise.

Neo-Nazis have some very fine people on their side, according to Trump.

As do the protestors.

I’m willing to post that he said that about both sides.

Let’s read this again: he said that Neo-Nazis have some very fine people on their side.

Let that sink into your Catholic soul for a minute.

Also, are you going to say that you’re proud that he says what he really means?

Or are you going to say that he really didn’t mean that Neo-Nazis (and the protestors, of course) are very fine people?

No Catholic should have voted for a man who says that White Nationalists have some “very fine people”.
He didn’t say that and people need to stop lying to themselves in order to FEEL good about how they vote.

It’s very obvious he meant the people who were not white nationalists. I know you’re very desperate to try and pin this on him because it’s all you’ve got, but really no one buys this.

You’re all assuming with 100% certainty everyone at that rally was a white supremacist.

That was not the case.

There were some racist a-holes there.

There were also people just trying to preserve historic markers/statues/etc. that does not make them racist.

Oh, so you’re the type that says “He doesn’t mean what he says!”.

Okey dokey.

Point noted.

Where…

EXACTLY…

Did Donald Trump say EXACTLY that?

And my Catholic soul is cutting through THIS bulloney just fine, thank you.

It’s interesting when some think it is a legit form of discourse to try and put their words into other people’s mouths…

When in actuality, it is a dishonest form of discourse.

Name calling?

I’d like to say it’s unusual, but coming from a certain ilk, it’s more to be expected.

Edit: Who’s Felicia?

Donald Trump is incapable of nuance. He basically means what he says. He said:

"TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. "

SO then…

They AREN’T card carrying neo-nazi’s, although SOME have claimed that they are.

Again, dishonest discourse doesn’t serve anyone. And when people bear false witness, it reeks. Isn’t it called slander? Or is it libel? How many lawsuits have resulted because some have lied about others in such a way?

But a committed full blown racist a la the KKK or Hitler? I just don’t see it.
So…half a racist then? A third? Either of those okay with you?

Am I the only one who is very troubled by this post? Why is it okay to be part racist in this day and age in America?

The topic on the table was that Donald Trump said were very fine people on both sides. Please explain how there were “very nice people” on the racist, white supremacist side. They don’t have to be neo-nazis, they don’t have to be white supremacists. Maybe they were just garden-variety racists who didn’t want the statues to insurrectionist racists defending slavery to be moved.

Any way you look at it, I don’t see that you will find “very fine people” on the side of defending the statues.

Throwing insults isn’t really becoming honest discourse.

And quite frankly, you can’t libel someone by quoting their words.
