The Republicans are more aligned with Catholic teaching, but do have some faults.
I will agree with that, but just barely. It is sort of a 55%/45%, maybe 60%/40% sort of thing. So I almost always vote for a Republican, except when it came to Donald Trump. I have to let character count for something, even if I over look his lack of experience and intelligence. I cannot ignore lack of character.
I didn’t vote for Trump in the primaries. I would have rather had any of the other candidates. But in the general election I had to vote for Trump. I live in PA and we knew it was possible to flip PA from blue to red, so I had to.

If I lived in a solid blue state like CA or NY, I may have skipped the vote for President, but not where I knew it was going to come down to the wire.

Catholic Vote campaigned hard in PA to convince Catholics to vote for Trump and Catholics in PA is who won him the state.

God Bless

Corrupt government that doesn’t help people but makes their lives worse. See urban America. One-party rule by Democarts for decades.

That’s very interesting. I voted for Cruz in the primary.
So did I. My first choice before the debates began was Jeb Bush. I like Rubio, but never thought he was ready. But after the debates started… I really started to like Cruz.

The Republican Party really screwed up because they couldn’t narrow the field fast enough to get it down to Cruz (or someone else) vs Trump.

That allowed Trump to win the nomination with less than a majority of the Republican votes.

His lpast history shows that he is a scum bag. He does not deserve respect and he is not my president. He needs all of us to pray for his soul and repentance. There is nothing in his experience that demonstrates an abilitity to lead our country.

All middle class deductions expire after a few years while we wait for the trickle down. Over a trillion dollars in New debt.
Chicken feed compared with the new debt created by the Obama administration…almost nine trillion dollars…more than one trillion dollars per year…Trump has his work cut out for him, trying to repair the tax-and-spend nonsense of the previous administration.

The exact same can be said about Hillary. Our primary system is broken, which is why we wound up with two terrible candidates running for President

Never did, never will.
This really isn’t the kind of concession you want to make to a politician. I never said I would NEVER support Barack Obama.
the ones who still cheer on his efforts to screw them over.
I don’t he’s screwing over very many people at all. He’s keeping all of his promises as much possible (whether you like them or not) and the courts and Congress (like them or not) have been obstructing him.

The idea that Huckabee and Santorum were even in this race was absurd. I felt like all they did was take away votes from Ted Cruz especially in Iowa. And there’s John Kasich.

There’s too many Republicans out there who just can’t take one for the team, which is why they are way behind in the Senate.

Yeap. The strength of Republican politicians, as individuals, is that they stick to their guns. The problem with Republicans as a party is that those same individuals don’t fall inline.

Actually, the president’s budget negatively affects me in the short-term, but his tax-plan is going to be better in terms of pure finances in the long-term.

I’m getting excited for this!

As a citizen of the United States, he is my President. But, since I am a U.S. citizen, I don’t have to like him or blindly support him as I would in other countries. I do have to follow the laws in how I express my criticism, but that is allowed by my government.

One of the reasons I like being a citizen, we are allowed to petition for the redress of grievances (1st amendment right).

That’s the risk you run if you’re not going to report. All of the SH training we do at university says you HAVE to respect the wishes of the victim.

If you’re a victim and you wait to report it, say until your movie/political/media career is winding down, then that’s your choice.

Should Catholics support Trump. Is it biblical to respect our president. I voted for Trump and i still support him very much so.
Do you Catholics or Christians still support him?
Actually, I didn’t vote for him. Wish I had, now. He’s battling all of them. All by himself, it sometimes seems.

I think he’s doing a wonderful job! I’m Catholic.

He may not be your president, but he is the president of those that live in the United States. For us, if not for you, we have to make an effort to respect the office, if not the man.

Everything else you said, most regrettably, I have to agree with.
