It’s off topic, but I do agree that it is a mistake to unduly idolize the Founders, many of whom were Deists, and who were sons of the Enlightenment, which brought us the French Revolution. The U.S. was lucky to avoid the violence done in the name of “fraternity, equality, and liberty.” Jefferson remained a friend of the French Revolution even making excuses for its violent excesses.I agree that life is about God vs godlessness. However, I don’t see how electing a pagan who supports intrinsic evils (Mr. Romney) is striking a blow for the cause of God.
It’s interesting how “conservatives” reviled the Democratic Party for excluding mention of God from their party platform, while at the same time idolizing our country’s founders who intentionally excluded mention of God from the Constitution.
