Mormons get baptized??
I have no idea what the official church stance is on if they are our brothers/sisters or not, but I think of everyone as my brother or sister…not, literally, but, when I deal with them, I give them the same respect I would if it WAS my brother or sister, because, well they might BE someone’s brother or sister, and I would always want my loved ones treated with the same respect…least thats how I see it…
But I always thought THEY didnt consider US brethren…My uncle married a mormon…and…we were cool…she came to the hospital when my daughter was born…
but when I made my uncle the ‘God Father’ ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lord. She refused to come. Doesnt come to ANY birthday parties, gives him BIG TIME grief for going…I’m like, were his FAMILY!!! and hes not ALLOWED to come around??
But shes his family too now, his wife, so I respect their relationship and would never get into it with her. I also have to be open minded enough to realize that, in the same way I would never attend a same sex marriage or something of the sort, she may not have come to the baptism for religious reasons, not wanting to be a witness or what have you…
But yeah, EVERY SINGLE mormon I’ve EVER met, has never been, open, to being a full on friend to me…its like … they stick together and only associate within their own circles…
cept for ParkerD that dudes down to earth and weve had some interesting theological conversations
