Interesting question, but please ask me again after checking out this, and this and this, and also this. (Or if you prefer, just tell me that those things don’t matter to you and I’ll “understand”. :))
Well I also didn’t say Trump was all that more electable than Cruz either, Peter. I mean anything’s possible. Either could win since historically it is rare for the same party to win the WH for 3 or 4 consecutive terms. But the GOP may have made it easier. We’ll know in a bit over 6 mos.

Well, I’ll admit I don’t remember every word; just that I’ve heard many, many times from various Democrats, and in various ways, that Trump is more electable than Cruz.

Now of course there are on the other hand some out there who try to stop Trump from even getting his message out. I’m in no way recommending that either.

In case anyone was wondering. 😉

Probably following the lead of Canada who just elected an underwear model who’s biggest claim to fame is being the son of a Prime Minister.
He is a typical liberal, just like Trump and Clinton and Sanders.
Except he can actually model underwear, and it would sell to people.

Since politics are all about celebrity and name recognition now anyway, why not eye candy, something to make the girls happy?

I don’t think any other candidate would have encouraged the violence that erupted in Ferguson, Baltimore like Obama did.
No other president or presidential hopeful up to that point could have.
Obama was in a unique position to bring America to the next step in the area of race relationships. He had a mandate to do so. He had the good will of the nation to do so. Even conservatives were appreciative of the watershed that had been reached with the election of a black man for president.

Instead, Obama inflamed race relations, labeling America racist in its very DNA, weighing in on every matter from the events leading up to the Beer Summit on through Ferguson, Baltimore, etc. etc. in as churlish a matter as was possible.

That is as close to an unforgiveable sin as this president could commit, I think.

He made the American presidency into something small and petty.

He would have been better off selling underwear, as Crossbones always like to keep bringing up. America certainly would have at any rate.

And you think Donald Trump will do a better job at easing racial tensions?
No.
He has done irreparable damage to conservatism through associating it with his own xenophobic populist rhetoric.

But in America, above all, race relations mean black and white. Hispanics are EuroAmericans too, when all is said and done.

Trump simply does not hold the promise to do something big and healing to America on the matter of race, like Obama did eight years ago.

All that Trump can really do is harvest some of the racial resentments that Obama had already sown against the blue collar guns and religion crowd that he made no bones about despising from the very beginning.

Is he considered some sort of sex symbol in Canada?

I am not like you Crossbones.
I have absolutely no interest in Trudeau’s ‘private’ affairs.

I had no idea he even modeled such things.

Some people though can’t get enough of that kind of thing.

Not that there is anything wrong with that…

He and his wife, Sophie, are both pretty glamorous, especially when compared to US and British politicians. But they are family people with three children. His father was considered quite the playboy, even dated Barbra Streisand.

Re Obama,he pulled the race card over and over anytime he didn’t get his way.He inserted himself into any and every black incident overstepping his bounds, letting his personal baggage get in the way of being a real leader. He could have done so much with the position he was given as the president, instead he chose to be decisive, flame the fires of racism with his abysmal behavior. You cannot refute any of this,no way ,no how.
ahhhhh PRIVILEGE is great huh???

If Hillary Clinton had not married Bill Clinton she would be probating wills in Arkansas . The only real accomplishment Hillary Clinton has ever had is marrying Bill Clinton

Yes, we have a black president, a fact that a lot of white people in certain parts of the country can hardly stand, and they certainly didn’t vote for him.
So if you didn’t vote for Barack Obama your a cracist? And I suspect that if one doesn’t vote for Hillary Clinton they will labeled a sexist .

I once heard someone say that if Bill Clinton hadn’t married Hillary, he would have been the most popular law professor at the University of Arkansas.

It depends. If any of your reasons for not voting for her include that you think women are not as capable as men to be President or in positions of authority, then there is a possibility.

Obama took out Bin Laden. President Obama is a great man and a great Christian.
I’m not at all sure what your saying? Killing Bin Laden makes Obama a great christian?

Maybe the next time with a Bin Laden, as a great christian he could bring him back “alive” and not throw the body off a boat like a bag of garbage, bring him back “alive” so as civil humans we could actually talk.

Obama is both a great man and great Christian. Osama Bin Laden attacked innocent Christians and Muslims. God will be the judge when it comes to Bin Laden. Obama is a great Christian for working for healthcare for all Americans. Its the Christian way to help injured/sick people out.

What parts of the country are those, and what evidence is there that any significant number of people didn’t vote for him just because he’s black? There are lots of non-racist reasons not to vote for Obama.
Likely the same people who did not vote for Obama did not vote for Bill Clinton either, and will refrain from voting for Hillary Clinton for the same reason.

The one thing that these three all have in common is not race of sex. It has a lot to do with people who are conservative or Republican tend not to vote for Democrats.

Democrats need Whites to be seen as racist though. Identity politics are built on maintaining strong racial identification, and there is nothing that works better than that than engendering fear of the bogieman of the racist Whitie.

Studies show that among white majority countries, America is least racist.
