His fight with Fox is escalating

Donald Trump will not attend the next Republican debate, the presidential candidate’s campaign manager said just minutes after Trump said he “probably” won’t show up.time.com/4195194/donald-trump-skip-fox-debate/
Donald Trump is not engaged in any sort of “feud” or “fight” with Fox. Trump is instead engaged in a “hissy fit”. He is an obnoxious lout, and the moderator, correctly, asked him why he thought such boorish behavior is acceptable of a man claiming to be fit to lead the free world.

Trump is a bully, and when challenged, cannot defend himself. His only recourse is to hide and not participate in the debate, because if asked point blank why he is a jerk, he has no viable answer.

Do you think a Trump-Cruz ticket is possible despite their animosity for one another? It happened with Reagan and Bush as well as Kennedy and Johnson.
It might be possible, but i fear the outcome would be the Republican version of a Carter Mondale ticket.

As has been said before, those who dislike’s Trump’s rise have no one to blame but the members of both parties. You have an administration that ran on transparency but has done most of its finest work under the shroud of darkness, and made every attempt to willfully disregard both the constitution and the will of the people. Everything has been purely ideological. And you have a Republican party that refuses to even buck the status quo, after years of promises to do just that.

People from both sides of the aisle are fed up and have had enough of the status quo. Perhaps if either the Democrats had been successful for average Americans while in power or Republicans had shown any backbone in doing what they were elected to do in 2010 or 2014, we would not have seen such a surge for an outsider.

I don’t want to hear anyone who supported Obama decrying Trump, as he is simply a product of dissatisfaction with the last 8 years.
👍👍👍

You see a hissy fit. Most of America is cheering this move. Listen to Rush at 12.

Some LOBBYIST is on Laura Ingram telling everyone how terrible Trump is for America.

She’s not buying it…this guy loves Jeb Bush.

The people I know that support Trump are sick of lobbyists, the media and all of the other ring leaders. I think it strengthens their resolve to hear such commentary.

America, unfortunately, occasionally cheers hissy fits.

Is it invalid to ask Trump why he engages in boorish behavior? Is the best response to such questions to run away screaming about unfairness? It may or may not turn out to help him politically, but that is not the entire measure of a good politician. He’s either pitching a fit, or he’s manipulating public opinion by saying things he doesn’t believe, or both.

And boycotting the debate in favor of an event to raise money for wounded warriors in this way makes me incredibly angry. That is an obvious ploy for Trump to be able to say “while those people are talking, I’m helping veterans, aren’t I patriotic?” Trump may or may not care about veterans, but this is clearly just one more manipulation. He could easily raise money for them in a different way that isn’t mostly about tooting his own horn. Even if you say that he’s a politician and so he needs to make his support public so people know where he stands, he could have hosted an event that wasn’t all intended to smear those who weren’t there. Veterans deserve better than to be used in this way, but it fits in well with the sort of thing Trump does.

You are against Trump so you see every move he makes through a negative prism. The fact is his support on social media has exploded and he is dominating the political conversation in the run in to Iowa. It is simply brilliant.

Reddit seems to agree.

We are not electing a Saint, we are electing a President. I don’t want a Saint running the country. I want someone who will ruthlessly defend the country.

Does this mean that boorish comments are acceptable, or that it is unacceptable to confront Trump about them?

If I don’t support Trump, it is because of blantant plays off of emotions like this. I didn’t support Obama for the same reason (in addition to abysmal policies). This sort of play is just the right wing version of Hopey-Changey nonsense. Flourishes without substance.

Does this mean you want someone who will do evil? If not, then why don’t you want a saint?

I don’t think his comments are boorish, they ARE politically incorrect. There is a difference.

Define evil.

It will be the least watched debate only because Trump is not there. If Cruz were also not there, it would probably not be watched at all! LOL
I will be watching solely for the reason that Trump isn’t there. His presence kept me from watching the other debates.

You won’t have much company. We’ll be watching the Trump show on CNN.

Calling women fat, ugly, and piggish is boorish. I don’t hold people to PC, but basic politeness is generally a good thing.

As for defining evil - that which is opposed to the will of God is sufficient for this discussion. You say you don’t want a saint. What does that mean? The difference between saints and non-saints is generally that non-saints do more evil.

I’m no saint, but I wouldn’t classify myself as evil either.

I have to agree - if I am holding out for a saint for prez I will never vote.

In fact its lacking, you would have be going for the revolution at any cost theory. I think he would he would do better to go into ecumenical mode like the other revolutionary Hillary and at least make some half heart attempt to make amends and correct the record. Never mind if I can call “women fat, ugly, and piggish is boorish” than I call anyone anything without regard what-so-ever. So perhaps he has a introspective educated point here with the overall view of moral ethics and human respect. It would be a good time to unveil it. But I won’t hold my breath.
