I will accept the results as soon as they are vetted thoroughly.

And if nothing else, this skepticism and anger over his election should, hopefully, let Joseph Biden, who, according to his supporters is a very nice and reasonable man, know that many MANY of us are bitterly disappointed that he was elected because we feel that he does NOT advocate good policies–and perhaps he will modify some of his more radical and dangerous policies to avoid further angering his many (almost half the population) dissenters.

Well, Trump certainly didn’t care about voters who felt HE didn’t advocate good policies. Which, by the way, was higher than the number of voters who thought he did.

Well, then, hopefully Joseph Biden has learned that being a hard-butt does not garner the love of opponents, although it’s interesting that so many pro-choice/pro-abortion/pro-“let the taxpaypers pay for abortions” candidates garner the love of Christians/Catholics. 😖

However, no matter how awful Joseph Biden is (and I predict that within a year, many Catholics will be on CAF in tears about his policies)–he will NOT ever face the concentrated and vitriolic hatred that Pres. Trump and his family have faced, other than from radio talk show hosts who make a living being hyperbolic.

I have never forgotten the attacks made on Barron Trump when he was just a young boy–there were implications that he was “mentally disturbed” in some way–totally unfounded. It was pure hatred–the very idea of attacking a child to undermine his father–evil evil evil. Shame.

Polls also show that most Americans believe that abortion should be safe and legal.

That doesn’t make it right.
Uhm, one is an opinion of fact and the other is an opinion of a religious/moral/public policy position.

That’s not a good analogy.

Does anyone remember that Trump put together a commission to investigate voter fraud after he didn’t get the popular vote? They didn’t turn up anything. But here we are ar the same position 4 years later. There have. even multiple assertions that it takes time for fraud to come to light. But the current actions appear to be producing just as much evidence as the 2016 investigations.

Vetted thoroughly enough according to whom?

The current president will likely never agree to his dying day that the results were fair. So is the law based on each person’s understanding? I understand their are still suits outstanding, and will be for months, but once the results are certified by the states, as is how we elect a president, whose opinion carries any legal weight?

I hate to see Republicans become the “stole the election” malcontents in the image of 2016 Democrats. It is still just as ugly and childish.

I asked @Peeps the same question above, and got no answer.

At what point will the results be “vetted thoroughly?” When courts issue no injunctions, and dismiss all the suits? When the votes are certified by the states? When the electors vote? When the vote of the electors is certified by Congress? When Trump says “I lost?”

My guess is the answer is the last one. Law and order only applies to some people.

But he never will say ‘I lost’ (ask Michael Cohen) so it will have to be when Biden is sworn in by Chief Justice Roberts.

Much earlier in this thread, I agreed with a poster who said, “Let the courts decide.”

I’ll accept their decisions.

And I will hope that if Jospeh Biden is confirmed as President, that he will be more tenacious in attempting to work with Republicans/Conservatives than Pres. Obama was. I think he will be, only because he has been around Washington for a long time and probably has drinking buddies in Congress that he’s been pals with for decades. Hopefully he will lean towards a more moderate approach to governing.

It’s possible that, since he continues to publicly practice Catholicism, that he might even relent on certain extreme abortion legislation that is near and dear to the hearts of the most fanatical liberals in this country, and perhaps try to push for a more conservative policy. May God give him the courage and keep him safe if he does this. I’m probably just dreaming, though–but I’m happy to be wrong!

Kamala Harris, however, is not likely to give one inch to anyone she disagrees with, and I devoutly hope and PRAY, yes, pray, that all the jokes about Joseph Biden’s health and mental faculties are just JOKES, not reality. I do NOT want her to be President–she doesn’t seem to have a lot of friends in Washington, and seems determined to take this country down an extremely-liberal path.

I imagine he will. Biden is a very centrist Democrat. Rumor has it that he will have a Republican or two in his cabinet.
That would be wise of him. Again, I hope that Kamala Harris is not a constant, irritating thorn in his side. I would think that if she ever wants a chance at winning the Presidency, it would be smart for her to keep a low profile, serve her President and country well, be an encourager rather than a nay-sayer, and bide her time before even suggesting any extreme policies (like trashing the fossil fuel industry) on a public that is reeling from the COVID pandemic and all the resulting economic and personal disaster that this pandemic has wrought. This would be a good time for her to be a “mom” to the country rather than a “force.”

If the “public is reeling,” wouldn’t it be good to use whatever “force” is available to restore equilibrium?

You really need to get out of the conservative bubble a bit. I mean that with respect and sincerity. Yes, he is older, but still younger than most of our top level politicians, and not much older than Trump. He is also not any more out of touch than his opponent, and in much better shape than most folks his age. He will not be the most active President we have had, but that is not the end of the world (remember Reagan?). He will be fine.

I don’t know if this has been posted or not, I haven’t read the whole thread, but in this video, Taylor Marshall goes over the alleged voter fraud accusations in the states in question.

The bolded part of your quote pretty much sums it up. You are simply seeing what you have decided to see.
