I don’t think I’m stereotyping. Christians have a certain world view (shaped by their bible and all the other ancient mythology surrounding their faith system). Therefore, there are certain things that distinguish Christians, particularly evangelicals and Catholics (and other radically conservative denominations like Southern Baptists) from the rest of us. For instance you all oppose stem cell research (and have a general tendency to oppose real ground breaking science), you would all say a woman who was raped should have her rapists child, etc. Is this a stereotype? No it’s not; because a believe system is different than lets say a race or ethnicity. A set of beliefs is just that … a set of beliefs. Therefore, I can lump you all together according to those beliefs. Do you see my point?Isn’t all this stereotyping a form of bigotry?

that’s such an absurd argument from a logical standpoint. Who the heck knows what went on in the twisted mind of Stalin or what influenced his views. Would he have been any less power hungry and murderous if he believed in ancient fairy tales … who knows (but I doubt he would have been the guy singing in the choir at Sunday service).
