I don’t pray the rosary or to Mary as neither are required.

Hence, my comment, just praying as a family. I do agree that praying as a family is indeed powerful. Even unscripted praying is powerful!

Yes, spontaneous prayer is wonderful also!

I can’t help but spotlight our Blessed Mother, as she was given to us at the foot of the Cross.

The question is, why didn’t Hogwarts have Latin and Greek be part of the curriculum?

🤔

This languages are what the spells are based on right?

Harry Potter isn’t the only magic book anyways, so it’s interesting that the scope is practically limited to this series alone.

You’re talking about the school that had half their students Petrified at one point and did not immediately send everyone home.

Compared to that, I think the lack of Latin and Greek classes can pass.

To be fair, Hogwarts does offer Alchemy classes for really advanced Potions students such as myself, which is the next cool thing after Latin and Greek.

I suck at potions making but excel in Charms.

Professor Flitwick was pleased with me.

Aunt Augusta Longbottom says Charms is a soft option. 😉

That is fine, but it does need to be pointed out that the rosary and praying to Mary is not required.

Encouraged, but not required.

Hard or soft, it’s rather useful don’t you think?🤔

It’s like taking a plumbing course. Sure, not as hard as theoretical physics but even more useful.

Oh okay.

Panties are also used here to refer to women’s underwear.

The selling of ideas is what is really going on. The Priest was absolutely correct, especially in a Christian context. We must first send a message to our young people that these kind of ideas are contrary to God Himself. yes, they can get it somewhere else, but not in God’s house or school. He’s soooo right.

Like as a conspiracy between Ms. Rowling and the forces of darkness?

She didn’t exactly invent the concept of featuring magic in stories.

That’s right! Only an unholy union with the Deceiver himself could result in the teaching children of such wicked values as self-esteem, loyalty to friends and defence of the vulnerable!

(Sarcasm, of course.)

Yes, and I’m not sure why people would think that children take a fictional novel about magic as an incitement to demonic witchcraft.

I read Macbeth at school, but you don’t see me paying a visit to the three crones down the street to secure satanic retribution against my enemies.

Yes, but the spells in Macbeth are all in English, so there’s no magic in that. Only Latin spells can be really and truly magical. Everybody knows that!
