You know, Game of Thrones doesn’t get criticised for having pagan-demonic-sorcery like HP does. Yet Game of Thrones has; non-Christian religions; and magic that’s, darker, more pagan, & more (not much) resembles the magic of apparent witches during the actual witch hunts. Someone in Game of Thrones gets burnt to death for witchcraft, which some may consider to be in accordance with the Catholic faith.

I half to add this:

Harry Potter doesn’t even use real Latin. And even if it did, Latin is not some supernatural language that does magic whenever it’s spoken.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if families prayed the Rosary together daily and put the Lord first in their lives?

Yes, a thousand times yes and more to putting the Lord first.

Saying the rosary as a family? I have read too many accounts of how people were turned off praying and religion by being made to say it as children to be convinced of that, I’m afraid.

“…27 lawyers in the room…?”

Bonus:

(But The West Wing is better)

Yes, I must say I agree with you when families don’t introduce family prayer properly then it doesn’t work well.

Perhaps it depends on the family and how they interact with one another in a good way.

As for myself, I started too late and with some anxiety to instruct my children with regard to prayer. I thought it was the job of the teachers more than myself.

Putting the Lord first, yes! Not sure on the rosary as it’s not a requirement to say the rosary.

How about just pray as a family?

I hadn’t even mentioned anything about Harry Potter. I am a senior citizen and very much liked to read fairy tales when I was in the lower grades of elementary school. I knew they were make-believe; but some of them did have a moral to them.

Yes, praying as a family is very powerful!

Since the Lord loves His mother so much, we can do the same. She is a powerful intercessor.

Hmm…

Pants as in underwear or as in trousers?

Growing up I used to call underwear, pants, and pants, trousers.

When I moved to the States, I was told pants were trousers.
