Finally, An Answer To Why So Many People Voted For Trump

I think she has a number of mental health issues. She recently underwent a hysterectomy because of endometriosis, and wrote about her sadness in not being able to have a child.

She’s wounded in some way. It’s pitiful really.
Are we talking about Lena Dunham?

I will never get over this–when Pres. Obama was in office, he and the First Lady allowed their underaged daughter to intern on Lena Dunham’s television show, Girls.

It was a filthy show, with lots of nudity and “bedroom” humor. And yet, Pres. and Mrs. Obama thought it was OK for their daughter to be working with this show. Ugh.

I guess when a President says that he wouldn’t want his daughter “punished with a baby” it’s not surprising that the same President and his wife would think it’s OK for their daughter to be exposed to such a degrading, horrid show and such a mixed-up, immoral “role model”, Ms. Dunham, for weeks on end, in person.

I lost any respect for the Obamas at that point, other than the respect that is owed to a President of the United States and First Lady. But that’s it.

And that…perhaps…is one reason why people voted for Trump–because of immorality of the Democratic candidates. The option of voting for Hillary Clinton was not acceptable, and the same for Joseph Biden–not acceptable.

I am.

I’m not very familiar with her. I just happen to read about this in an article recently.

She has had a very “troubled” life, and I think it’s very likely that she has some kind of mental illness.

She can be very funny–the episode of Sat. Night Live with her as guest host was hilarious. But there’s so much in her life and in her art that is disturbing and…glorifying of evil.

I would not want to have a young person spend a lot of time in her company.

She admitted in a book to molesting her preteen sister. I don’t really feel too much pity for someone like that, nor for public figures who approve of her work.
Like I said, I think she might be mentally-ill. I haven’t read her bio–it’s just too disturbing for me. I did read the short version of it in Glamour Magazine back then.

And yes, I agree with you about public figures who approve–usually the Obamas were so careful with their daughters–I just found it shocking and heartbreaking that they would approve of this internship. There are lots of other challenging and well-run internships that would have given their daughter experience in liberal entertainment and contact with liberal entertainers and artists without exposing her to such sickness and evil.

I would think that the young girl would have troubling dreams for a long time after being exposed to Girls and Ms. Dunham in person.

Uh, no. If the nomenclature changes, it must change for both, pro-abortion and anti-abortion, or pro-abortion rights and anti-abortion rights. I am very pro-choice when it comes to Baskin-Robbins.
If only you would differentiate between an adjective and a noun , we might take the first step. Human tissue is not the same as a human being. What is so complicated about this?
The word “human” is an adjective in both instances. Using the distinction between tissue and being is not an argument. It is a begging of the question.

I guess what’s so funny about this thread title is that…

If you want to know why a person voted for Trump, all you have to do is ask that person.
Simple. Easy.

But for four years, I’ve been coming across left wing opinion pieces where the author is twisting themself into all sorts of pretzels over this vast mystery.

And usually coming up with some cuckoo-looloo answer.

🤷‍♀️

And usually coming up with some cuckoo-looloo answer.
And an answer that insults, disrespect that Trump voter and at the same time attempts to illustrate how superior in all ways are those who didn’t support Trump. And of course with that answer always at the forefront of even considering the question they will never find a different result.

This opinion pieces was a mere attempt to not label and libel Trump voters as just racist, homophobic mysoganist hicks but one that adds to their “obvious other” flaws …it is really insulting and dehumanizing.

Of all the answers I cam across through these years, my all time fave was “the women who voted for Trump were told to by their husbands and sons”.

🤣 … I highly doubt that any woman votes for a candidate merely because their husbands tell them to …

One of my sons was really taken with Trump at the beginning and into about a year as President but he didn’t deliver what my son had been expecting and by the end he thought of him as a dud. And by ‘deliver what he expected’ I don’t mean this or that policy, but to be a standout leader of the world. It was a good lesson for my son I believe, not to be blindly taken in by confidence, arrogance, bigness. Sometimes it’s just a pathetic little man with a loud voice like the Wizard of Oz.

HRC rose to power on the coattails of WJC and selling her continued support for him to the DNC - so perhaps she votes the way she is told - but she also was capable of negotiating a Senate seat, Secretary of State and a presidental run for staying with him. HRC does not seem like she only does what she is told - in fact I think she dictated to Bill not the other way around.

Most women I know have had to really work for a living, holding there families together - they have minds of their own, and their own opinions. They are partners with the men in their life. I dont think I could name any woman I know who is that subservient a husband.

Could you clarify which comment you classify as evil?

I think another reason why Ms. Clinton rose to power is that she had the support of many of the powerful and influential women’s organizations in the U.S., and also the support of the “women’s media” (magazines, online sites, etc. that are targeted to primarily to women) that tend to promote “liberal” stands on the issues.

Many women take their cues about politics from these organizations and media.

Also, many women are more involved with “education of children” than men. Mothers are generally the ones who arrange their children’s schooling (public, private, or home) and they are the ones who volunteer for school activities, attend the Parent-Teacher conferences, etc., and help with homework. The public education system in the U.S. is solidly Democratic and liberal at this time in history, and of course, this means that women (mothers) are getting a large dose of liberal/Democratic politics. It is almost impossible for a woman to be a hold-out against Democratic/liberal policies when every other mom in the class is campaigning for and voting for the Democrats, especially the female candidates.

Finally, many women feel obligated to vote for women, even if they disagree with some of their policies or find the woman personally objectionable. There’s a “sisterhood” feeling among women–we have to stick together. It’s silliness, of course, but a lot of women feel very pressured to support it.

Because if you don’t, you are called a traitor t your sex.

Then they are not as Hillary said voting the way their husband’s dictate … and thus did not vote for Trump due to that reason - they voted for Trump based on policy and a four year record …
