I do too. Stress can really break a body down, so maybe. Hopefully. The deputy was in the apartment for 30 minutes.
That seems long enough to me for him to touch a surface and become infected. I sure hope this deputy is just stressed out and has a flu bug.
So here we are wondering why this guy walked into the clinic as opposed to making a phone call and I read this:
According to President of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Association Christopher Dyer, Monnig said he was feeling sick to his stomach before his visit to the clinic. Dyer expressed concern for Monnig and his family.
Well call me paranoid, but if I were in charge of the CDC I would make sure every single person who had come in contact with Dunan, his relatives, the hospital, the sidewalk of vomit, the handrail, the cars/amublances, the entire Ivy Apartment complex etc - would have been issued a phone number to call if they started to display specific symptoms. They also should have been instructed NOT to go directly to a populated waiting room and to wait for an ambulance staffed with biogear to scoop up the patient from home. Just incredible.“He’s doing exactly basically what we told him to do: If at any time you don’t feel well, go seek some medical attention,” Dyer said. “I’m being told that he’s not exhibiting classic signs of the Ebola virus. It’s just a matter that he doesn’t feel well, and because he had contact with Mr. Duncan’s apartment, they’re taking every precaution.”
We should know in 48 hours. Poor guy must be losing his mind.
