O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Visibly Catholic, we encourage and are encouraged. So thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort. Two evangelists were available.
  • Snowy, wet weather greeted people heading to the annual family event in the convention center, the fundraiser featuring competing holiday trees. The big Christmas tree, that had been set up in the center of the business park, now lay in a ruins within its enclosure. Evidently, it had been taken down a couple of days earlier by an errant gust of wind. Despite the cold and gloomy atmosphere in the park that day, we expected to encounter a greater than average number of Catholics. We weren’t disappointed.
  • Groups of people, including several multi-family groups, came straight toward us. Was the Dominican-blessed salt helping? May God bless all our benefactors!
  • A man, in his 30s, stopped out of politeness. Fully committed to the pseudo-Christian religion to which he belonged, he told evangelist Chuck that he had a Rosary at home. He’d received it from a Catholic priest who was handing out Rosaries on the street, in a large city in another state. Our visitor had accepted it from him “to be nice”, but now thought it a good thing to have. He and evangelist Chuck exchanged a few words on their differing understandings of Faith. Chuck gave him a copy of the Rosary pamphlet and encouraged him to pray it. He encouraged us to “do something nice” for someone each day leading up to Christmas.
  • Another man stopped. He said he was a lapsed Catholic and a “lapsed everything”. However, he wanted something with a cross on it. He chose a Rosary, but declined the pamphlet.
  • We received a return visit from a woman, probably in her late 20s. On her previous visit, she had told us that she hated the Catholic Church because her late boyfriend’s family, who were Catholic, had done some very hurtful things. She seemed to be doing better now. Evangelist Chuck chatted with her a bit, while evangelist Lucy talked with a Catholic woman who had just arrived, coming over to thank us for being out there and to encourage us.
  • Several Catholic families came to our table and allowed one or more of their children to choose a Rosary. We encouraged them to pray the Rosary together as a family, Several of the families committed to doing so. May God bless and protect them!
  • Altogether, we gave away about 15 Rosaries and its booklets.
Please pray for us again today? Please ask God to send people to us prepared to perceive their need for Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. Please ask that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s effort.

God grants “endurance and encouragement” (Rom 15:5). So thank you again for your prayers, encouraging words, and other support for this apostolate! In turn may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

He will come to judge the living … and the dead. So thank you again for your prayers for Boise’s Catholic street evangelization effort. Two evangelists were available. (The other two have both been taken out by back injuries. Prayers, please?)
  • A family with 3-4 children under the age of 8 stopped. The parents, Catholic, encouraged each child to accept a Rosary. They also received encouragement from us to start praying it together every day. As the children were leaving, the father stepped forward and also chose a Rosary. Please pray that the Lord keeps this family safe and leads all of them to Catholic Sainthood?
  • A new Christmas tree had been set up in the square, noticeably smaller than the previous one, but decorated with lights. It was being used as a backdrop for photographs, especially by some of the skaters arriving at the hockey arena for the big ice show later that day. Only one or two of the skaters accepted a Rosary from us.
  • Homeless “Walt” came to our table, moving slowly and weighed down with many bags. He was feeling disappointed in the model car kit he had received in a Christmas exchange, but had plans to make the inaccurate, beginner’s kit work anyway. He hasn’t mentioned faith or religion for a long time.
  • While evangelist Lucy talked with Walt, evangelist Chuck received many visitors, including many young people.
  • Evangelist Lucy allowed some young teens to choose a Rosary, though suspecting they were repeat visitors. Evangelist Chuck kept an eye on them after they left our table. After a few minutes, he took off running across the square to talk with them. Turns out they’d had a ketchup fight, and one Rosary got ruined in the fray. Chuck took it from the youth to dispose of it properly.
  • A college-aged couple stopped at our table. He’s Catholic, but she’s not. The man talked with evangelist Chuck, telling him that he had two Rosaries already in his dorm room. The woman accepted a brief explanation of the Rosary, then chose one for herself.
  • A man said he was glad to see us out there, though he didn’t seem to believe as we do.
  • The two evangelists gave away about 20 Rosaries and its booklet, at least 2 maps of area parishes, and 2-3 copies of the kerygma.
Please pray for us again today? Please ask God to send people to us who are prepared to perceive their need for Jesus Christ, for the Holy Catholic Church, and for salvation. Please ask God to grant that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Jesus will come again in glory! So thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

The Rosary attracts even people of no particular faith. So thank you again for your prayers for Boise’s Catholic street evangelization effort. First-time evangelist “Guy” joined us.
  • “Daniel” stopped for a free Rosary. Asked if he attended any church, he replied that his grandmother is sick and, not only that, but his uncle is in prison unjustly. Evangelist Lucy told him to get himself into a church and pray for them! Leaving, he headed back in the same direction from which he came (which was towards the nearest Catholic church).
  • “Walt” talked briefly with evangelist Chuck, and mentioned his belief in God. (!)
  • Brick by brick. a photographer moved his tripod and camera toward the Christmas tree in the center of the business park, manually making a time-lapse video. When he finished taking pictures, he showed us the result. It shows us interacting with lots of people in a flurry of activity. Evangelist Guy had offered him a Rosary, but he did not accept.
  • A young teen stopped, who looked awfully familiar. After he left, another came over from the same group, across the business park from us. Evangelist Chuck recognized the second teen as the boy who had caused the ketchup mess last week. (it was a pamphlet that got ruined, not a Rosary). We gave him the pamphlet but not another Rosary, saying he could use his fingers to count the prayers. He seemed very disappointed.
  • An actively Catholic man asked prayers for his elderly father, “Ken”, who had lost his faith and was in a nursing home. His son had originally said “no, thank you” to our offer of a free Rosary. A few steps past our table, he changed his mind, thinking a Rosary might help his dad come back to the Faith. He also accepted one of our “Returning Catholics” packets.
  • Another man stopped, who declined Rosary and pamphlet, but acted as if he knew what it was. Not Catholic, he wanted to be sure we told people that Jesus was all about love. Evangelist Chuck pointed to a picture of Christ crucified, saying it shows true sacrificial love.
  • Lots of young people of no particular faith stopped and willingly received a Rosary and heard us out. May Christ and Mary work deep into their hearts!
  • “Tyler” talked at length with evangelists Chuck and Guy. To our offer of a free Rosary, he said, “I could probably use one.” He refused the Rosary pamphlet and kerygma, saying, “They would be wasted on me.” He had grown up Christian. but said he was “nothing, now”. As we parted, he said, “Thanks for the help.”
  • Altogether, the three evangelists gave away about 15 Rosaries, 2-3 copies of the kerygma, 2-3 maps, 2 small Crucifixes, and 1 “Reasons to Return” packet.
Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Catholic, other Christian, or “none”, people are attracted to the Rosary – and to Him Whose story it tells. So thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate!!! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

Praying for the Catholic Evangelization team in Boise.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

Grace breaks into our existence, and we share that Good News! So thank you again for your prayers for Boise’s Catholic street evangelization effort.
  • Two boys in their early teens stopped. Evangelist Chuck started explaining that the Rosary was about the life of Jesus. At that, one boy threw up his hands in horror, said “we’re Jewish”, and left. The other boy followed. May Our Blessed Mother, also Jewish, lead them to her Son!
  • A man went by, cursing us, but not recognizing the irony of saying, “I’m an atheist and hope you go to [perdition].” May he recognize God’s gift of his own everlasting nature.
  • Three men stopped. One, sporting a light-pink headband, seemed confused about his male nature. He asked us to pick the Rosary for him “that Jesus would pick”. Evangelist Chuck replied that each was equally good for getting closer to Christ. Our visitor chose a Rosary with light pink, pearlized beads. While evangelist Lucy briefly explained the devotion, evangelist Chuck talked with one of the other men, who also accepted Rosary and pamphlet. The third man declined.
  • A group of people went by, proclaiming they served the very one who wants only to destroy them. So sad.
  • A man came to the table to accept a Rosary because his grandmother used one. May Our Lady draw him all the way to her Son!
  • A father and son came by. Offered a Rosary, the dad turned to the slightly heavy-set pre-teen, and said he could have one. The child declined.
  • Another father and son stopped. Catholic, the father encouraged his son to pick out a Rosary, while we encouraged him to show his son how to pray it.
  • A couple, perhaps in their 20s, veered toward our table in response to our offer of a Rosary. They each chose one. One was Catholic, and evangelist Chuck encouraged them to pray it together.
  • A family, all adults, stopped. The man said he was a confirmed Catholic, but had never prayed the Rosary. He took one and its pamphlet.
  • A man stopped and asked about the Rosaries. We told him about them, and evangelist Lucy showed him the pamphlet, explaining how and why to pray it. He declined the Rosary, but kept the pamphlet.
  • On that extra-warm (temperatures near 60° F) final Sunday before Christmas, the two evangelists experienced lighter-than-average foot traffic and a higher-than-average percentage of no-thank-yous. Still, we gave away about 10 Rosaries and its pamphlet, and 3 holy cards.
Please pray for us again today, asking God to send people to us prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s effort.

Jesus’ Incarnation is still the most important event in human history. So thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

“Go with the strength you have“ (Judg 6:14).

P.S. Please pray a special prayer for our benefactors and for your fellow prayer warriors: in particular, for Michael, Barb, @Katherine438, @Katie777, @Natalie, @fisherman_carl, Charles, Sheila, Maria, Val, and our beloved Rosary Maker groups! Thank you again, each one of you!!!
