Though I am a homosexual myself, I will be making an unofficial vow of celibacy next week to my Spiritual Director. Much exists in my past and in my mind that needs to be confessed once I am baptised, but the grace of the Blessed Lord has almost completely divested me of my wish to act out my lusts. I have a feeling that they will always exist in me, but only as long as I have a sinful, Earthly body. My homosexual attractions and lusts will disappear when my body is glorified, if God counts me worthy at The End: just as a man’s muscular dystrophy or a woman’s osteoporosis will disappear when glorification comes. We all have a Cross to bear, of course, and I think God knows each of us better than we know ourselves, so He has the answer in the end.
Gay marriage, as I see it, utterly undermines the basis of Christian civilisation. If Christ wed humanity to divinity for all time on the Cross, it simply must be in terms of the natural order (He is the groom and we the submissive wife). Why would Christ attach His perfection to our mortality if He considers us to be “the man” as well as Himself? Christ’s wedding to us is based on our humility, not on our manliness. Mary was the perfect servant because she was humble and submitted to God: a wife for all times! This is why gay marriage is wrong: it simply makes no sense. God created men to dominate and protect women, and He blessed women to be kept safe and loved by men. This is the Order, the Glorious Order of symmetry and balance.
I find it amusing that atheists will support gay marriage because the Church “corrupted” marriage and took it over unjustly, but the same atheists will never consider abolishing Trial by Jury or Just Government, things which exist because of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are hypocritical in dismantling this Western civilisation they so love, because all of it was built in the name of Christ’s teachings. The Bible is the constitution of the West, in history and tradition and point of fact.
I tend to think homosexuals are created to become priests, rather like the Levite tribe always gave its men to the service of the Temple.

God wants us to be celibate, and to use our quiet celibacy to glorify Him, not our own lusts.
