Who am I? I’m a father that had no say as to whether my child would be aborted or not. Who are you,or who is anybody for that matter, to decide my child can be killed without my say in the matter?
👍

God Bless you, sweetie.

Whatever you wish to believe. Eventually, only a few will be at Mass… I know in my area, in the past 5 years … 4 of the local Parishs have closed or combined, why ? lack of membership… what a shame. I will answer to God for my thoughts and actions, sinful or not. Not to a Federal Government or Church. Sorry, but its what I think… and I am Catholic… and a great many more like me are around than you must realize…
Then let the Mass only have a few. I’d rather side with a few pious Catholics, than a million heathens prancing around calling themselves “Catholic”

Sounds to me fissionu you would be more comfortable being a Protestant because you are protesting the Church and see your views are superior to the Sacred Scripture and Tradition, as well as the Magesterium.

Call it whatever you want, but according to the Church and Papa Leo XIII and Papa Pius X encyclicals…it’s called heresy.

I hope that you will see that the Church is right on this issue…not the declining culture.

Woops, Thanks Abyssinia, almost forgot… please add to my list that the GOP is anti-womens rights as well, oh, and anti-contraception… keep them comming… thanks… As far a Romney, OMG what a joke, add Ryan to the mix and its a laph fest. With people like Michelle Bachmann in your party, you will LOOSE… 😃
Spellcheck.Laugh,lose.Not laph,loose…

Well I am a Catholic and Abortion is a Women’s issue. Men have no right saying what a Woman can do with her body. What a Woman does with her body is between her and her GOD. WHO ARE YOU to make decisions on who is Catholic and who is not ? You see, there are alot more “Cafeteria Catholic” out there then you would like to admit. I am shocked that SOME Catholics are drinking so much of “one size fits all” Koolaide
Me thinks there is a troll in our midst…

A troll, come on, I am the first to admit I cannot spell and am too lazy to have a dictonary. Is this another one of those rules / sins that I do not understand ? will you pray for me about it ? LOL

Troll comment wasn’t in reference to your spelling ability,or lack thereof. It was an observation of your blatant disrespect for the Catholic faith,of which you claim to belong 😦

Oh, thats even worse… a Troll because I do not agree with your stances. I claim to belong and do belong (Go to noon mass weekly) I also support Church Christmas Charities ($$$), support ($$$) the building of a new Catholic HS. I went to Catholic HS, attended a Catholic College, was an alter boy. Worked to mow the lawns of the Parish Convent (which had closed).
It must really bother you that there are alot of Catholics (Gay, divorced, practice contraception, masturbation) sat next to you in Church 👍

It’s not *our *stances, it’s the Church and God’s command.

Whoa, hang on a minute. We are all sinners,I have done things in my life that I sorely regret. However,it was through God’s grace that I rediscovered and reappreciated the beautiful gift that our Lord gave us in our Catholic faith. Our faith is so full and rich with abundant graces, there for those who choose to partake of them. Pope Benedict has declared this liturgical year as the year of faith.I have enrolled in a weekly class on the “FourPillars”.which is a study of the Catechism of thevCatholic Church…We just spent the last eight weeks dissecting the Creed. Why we say what we say at each and every Mass.I suggest that you consider partaking of a study on our faith. It will open your eyes to the Truth. As Catholics,it is our responsibility to understand and obey the truths and teachings of our faith.Pray to the Holy Spirit to help you to understand that with which you currently disagree.

I dunno if a troll would understand such things 🤷

Umm…so what exactly are you trying to accomplish by saying these things…? Are you trying to say it’s fine to commit mortal sins as long as you call yourself a Catholic?

Yes, everyone is a sinner and make mistakes, but we should strive to be better, no? Is that not the whole purpose of life? To rise above our selves and seek God and His Goodness? To follow His Way? To search for and protect Truth?

One can’t just run around and commit a bunch of sins and disrespect the Church and then expect God to forgive them in the end. That mindset in itself is sinful. Heaven is not just some place that God will let you into no matter what. No, we are the ones who choose whether or not we want to be united with God. God reaches out to us, all we have to do is reach back. He gives you free will so you can have the choice to either follow Him or turn your back on him and follow the world.

God gives you the choice of Heaven (eternal union with Him) or Hell (eternal separation from Him). Do you understand? There is no middle ground. You either choose Him, or you don’t.

Plain and simple. No grey areas in this matter and whether you believe it or not does not change the fact that this is the Truth.

I’ll pray for you. I hope you have a change of heart in time :crossrc:

Back to the election of 2016. Although I think that Newt is not the sharpest tool in the shed, I do think he’s giving a good warning to the GOP. It really needs to look within itself and scrub out some of the flotsam. In all the speculation here I’m surprised that no one has mentioned my governor, Chris Christie. Though I’m not a Republican, if the Dems put up Hillary–whom I believe will be very tough to beat–I think Christie may have a good shot. He’s a little abrasive, but unlike Romney, I think that he’s really sincere about his stance on social issues like abortion. And he’s certainly brighter than some other Republicans who shall remain nameless out of respect. 😃

Uhmmm… can you name a sharper republican? Certainly not McCain, Romney, Palin, Bush. Cheney may be his equal intellectually, but he has other problems…

I thought I just said that Christie was smart…

OK. My opinion is that Gingrich is quite intelligent. And, he seems to be moderating his views. So, he is more tolerable. The baggage of his past preclude his running for President.

I seriously doubt that Christie is a contender.

Agree about Newt and his past. Disagree about CC though. Recently read an article about his and Mitt’s views on abortion and CC impressed me greatly. He spoke like a human and not a political automaton. And, despite his occasional acerbic rants, I think he is charasmatic in a fashion. Although I was not happy about some things in the State’s budget, we are in way better shape than we were under Corzine. I dunno, maybe with a little polish, he could be a “contenda”. 🙂
