5 Reasons why all the Gingrich people reading this should Still vote for Gingrich.
  1. Ronald Reagan once polled 30 points behind Jimmy Carter. After he whooped him in the debates… Ronald Reagan polled as winning from there on out… and went onto a landslide win. Newt Gingrich is serious about debating Obama, we all know he would destroy him, but Newt isn’t okay with destroying him once, **he wants to destroy him 7 times. And he will follow around Obama and make him look like a coward if he doesn’t agree to debate him 7 times.

Newt Gingrich is capapable of energizing the Republican base. 75% of the Republican primary voters consistently rejected Mitt Romney for the entire pre-voting segment of GOP candidate race. 3/4 of the GOP simply cannot enthusiastically support Mitt Romney for a multitude of reasons. And… the voter intensity of the roughly 20-25% who do support him isn’t exactly ecstatic, like the followers of Ron Paul. My point: lets say no more than 10-15% of all Republicans will enthusiastically support Mitt Romney. That isn’t exactly energizing the base. You need an energized base to win.
  3. **Mitt Romney was a Bishop of the Mormon Church. **I find that disturbing, so do 22% of Americans. I’m not going to rant on my views of the Mormon Church… but I have looked into their beliefs, what people do in Mormon temples, their practices, history, etc. I encourage everyone to formulate their own opinion about Mormons. But, everyone should know that Mitt Romney is not a “cafeteria-Mormon”, he is a full fledged one, and used to serve as Mormon clergy.
[Only 7% of Americans have hang ups about voting for a Catholic… but I imagine a lot of people on here would prefer voting for a Catholic over a Mormon? Am I right or am I right? ;)]
  1. Bold Policy Solutions. Before the campaigns came down to negative campaigning… Mitt Romney offered us a 59 point economic plan, he was the only candidate who gave us rhetorical talking points when Perry, Cain, Gingrich, Paul, etc. all gave us specifics. Newt Gingrich would take the corporate tax from 35% to 12.5%… the same rate of Ireland, which because of their low tax on businesses has become the country with the 3rd highest GDP per person in Europe. That’s because the Irish have a capitalistic pro-business economy, at the same time where the fruits of socialism are being tasted in Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, etc.
Mitt Romney never released his tax rates, but they are far higher than those proposed by Gingrich or Perry.
  1. Call it trust, call it authenticity. Mitt Romney just seems like a politician who goes to his aides before he says anything. He calibrates everything according to pollsters. He changes his positions for elections… why else were his positions running in Massachusetts almost polar opposite to his positions he tells the GOP base? Irregardless of their personal lives, I would like someone to say to me: “Mitt Romney believes more passionate in his policies than Newt Gingrich does”. If you listen to the policies they espouse, Gingrich is bombastic for a reason, he is dead confident in his policies. He believes in them, heck, he most likely wrote a book about them or founded a think tank that worked on developing them. Listen to Mitt Romney’s policies, it sounds like he’s walking a tight rope, like he’s walking on eggshells. He wants everything to sound well polished.
#5 In a Nutshell: **Mitt Romney tells you what you want to hear, Newt Gingrich tells you what he believes in **and you’ll have to decide if you agree or not. But he gives you straight talk, Romney gives you political smoke and mirrors.
 
Several weeks ago I heard one of the pundits on TV refer to the GOP primary as a game of political whack-a-mole. In other words, various candidates bounce up in the polls, only to fall down once the scrutiny on them intensifies. We saw this with Bachman, then Perry, then Cain, and now with Gingrich. It really is a testament to the overall weakness of the GOP field. I never viewed Gingrich as anything other than a minor player in the GOP field.

Newt Gingrich’s experience with Reagan and learning how world events are shaped by
the Hands of Providence , when we are receptive enough , may be the best points in his favor !

Media seems to make lots of noise about him attacking Romney ; well , part of it might even be of a nature that is beyond this world even - mormonsim’s views on Bl,Mother and Newt Gingrich being a regular worshipper at the Shrine of The Immaculate Conception are at opposte poles of the deepest areas of affections of the heart may be and even unknowingly , this struggle that is age old , may be unavoidable !

Having found the comfort and warmth in the arms of Mother Church , let us hope that his problems in the area of relationships with women would be atoned for , by fidelity to the teachings of the age old wisdom !

Iraq war would have been avoided , if our past Presidents had done so ; he has first hand experience to know , how peaceful, prayerful means can be effective , in dealing with even major issues !

May his failures earn merciful forgiveness from enough people and he , in turn , too be a compassionate , forgiving person of fidelity , in all of the most important areas of life !
 
The Gingrich surge seems to have dissipated. Why? Because the public has been informed of his baggage. Freddie Mac. Unstable temperament. Gross twisting and misuse of ‘history’. Ousted as House leader by GOP. Fined while in Congress. An opportunist who will flip-flop. Flagrant affairs, two divorces, three marriages. Etc. True, he is a clever and effective debater, but we need as president a person of integrity and high moral standards.
Newt in the White House with Callista - what a crazy example of family values to present to our youth and to the world! They would be a public embarrassment to America and to the Church.
 
The Gingirch surge fizzled because he lost the favor of the media. It happened to Perry, it happened to Bachmann, and it happened to Cain. Santorum is currently the darling, explaining why he’s getting such good poll numbers now. It’s not anything that he’s doing or his positions (because you and I all know that most voters don’t even know his positions or his past), it’s that the media has decided that he is the new guy to prop up.

The way the media controls the election really is disturbing. My recommendation? Don’t listen to the media. Research positions yourself: avoid TV news, talk radio, online articles, etc., and just do your own research from independent sources.
 
Gingrich may have stuck his foot in his mouth again today. He appears to have upset the NAACP. I am unable to link to a news report though.

Was it his comment about how Social Security disproportionately is a bad investment for blacks because they have the shortest life spans? I heard that recently, but I didn’t know if it was a recent statement. I hope he’s not getting called a racist on that issue, because it’s actually a real issue.
