How many US politicians can speak Spanish? Or Chinese? Or Italian? I bet some can…

He’s that desperate? That’s just going to make him look bad.

I just watched Newt’s response to this. He said all in good humor. 🙂

I like the one where an activist asked Newt about his stand on gay marriage and Newt told the questioner to go vote for Obama!

Or English…
From the number who think “verbal” is a substitute for “oral”, not many. "“Verbal” means “with words”. The words may be spoken or written. Thus, all the Postings in these forums are examples of verbal intercourse:rolleyes:

By the way, French is still more or less the International Diplomatic Language. For confirmation, look at your passport, if you have one. 🤷

Not to mention the incredable treasure of French Literature, which looses a lot when translated to English 😦

Gingrich is done for and I don’t believe he every took his candidacy seriously for following reasons:
  1. He didn’t seem to care that his entire campaign structure collapsed in June of last year.
  2. He didn’t even take the time to ensure he would be on the ballot in Missouri or even his own home State.
  3. He released a campaign video attacking Romney for…his fluency in French.
  4. His campaign strategy involves a website he launched in December called “Pets with Newt
etc. etc.

The guy is behaving like a clown and running his campaign like a circus. He deliberately goes out of his way to be ridiculous and won’t even make a serious effort to be a candidate so how can anyone think he’d make a good President? Pictures of animals with “I’m with Newt” captions as a political strategy? C’mon. If thats all he’s got to take on Obama then he should just deliver his concession speech now.

Perhaps Romney even knows the correct spelling and pronunciation of “Voila!”

Gingrich to super PAC: Fix negative ad or take it down
cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57358963-503544/gingrich-to-super-pac-fix-negative-ad-or-take-it-down/

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Friday called on a well-heeled outside group supporting his candidacy to correct the inaccuracies in a half-hour film highly critical of GOP front-runner Mitt Romney’s career as a venture capitalist or “pull it off the air and off the internet entirely.”
