God's foreknowledge and fatalism

Huh?

God sees all and holds all in being.

God sees me with the choice of chocolate or vanilla before me. He also sees my choice of chocolate.

I am free before the choice to choose chocolate or vanilla. After the choice is made I have made that choice. God simply sees all that is. Free will of man is including in creation - it is free will not fatalism.

That God sees both prior to the choice any my free choice (and the fall of Rome, and me eating breakfast this morning -all in immediacy). In fact God makes my choice free.
 
Why have two threads on basically the same subject?

God sees one only since there is only one truth in regards to future otherwise it is not knowledge.

So I did not have chocolate and vanilla ice cream to choose from?

God sees all that is. Either I had those two in front of me or not.

My above answer remains the same.

God does not see me choosing vanilla -because I choose (present tense) chocolate.

God sees me with the choice -and he sees me make the choice.

Indeed he holds the ice cream and me in existence.

Yes. If you believe in Gods sees. Only one of the option is real and the rest is an illusion.

If you find nothing of value in your existence the fault lies with you not with existence. Yes, I have met God in all the beauty, joy and love I have found throughout my life and been cared for to such an extent I have had more than thirty narrow escapes from death. When I wake up in the morning it seems a miracle I’m still alive.

I agree with the joys of life and thank god for creating the universe that eventually gave rise to life here. Where we vary is in the notion of protection and miracle. My god may not even be aware that I am here, but he still created the system that allows me to enjoy this life, despite its occasional hardships.

Appreciating life and thanking God means He is not so remote after all. It would be very strange if the Creator were unaware of us when His creatures are aware of Him - or at the very least aware of the possibility that He exists. It would be even stranger if He lacked our capacity for love.

I wish you well too - and hope you are more optimistic about life after death.

Because there is zero evidence for anything beyond this reality. If someone has some…beyond revelation…which is no proof at all, I’d love to see it.
