Has America lost basic morality?.. YES! Is it fair to say that there is a large number of Democrats who support the looters?.. NO!

The PROTESTORS probably have more support from the Democratic side, but I doubt that either political party supports when that turns into looting.
 
I’m a Democrat. I don’t condone looting. I’m white I don’t condone racism. I’m the father of a police officer I don’t condone shooting police officers nor police officers murdering blacks. I’m a Democrat and I don’t like Trump and it has zero to do with his party affiliation.
 
I wish I could say that was true.
In my City, our Mayor and Police Chief have, repeatedly, said that it was “outside influences” that caused the violence and rioting. From where I stood, it was the people of my own neighborhood and patrons of the very stores they were looting who caused all the damage.
Only to have it called a “passionate response” to a terrible tragedy. Really- looting and pillaging is now a “passionate response” Give me a break! 🤨

Last week a cop slowly choked a man to death with one hand in his pocket. And there have been many police who’ve been killed in the past.

Was anyone decrying America’s lost morality then?

I remember when those Dallas police were targeted and killed a few years ago. It still horrifies me.

But shootings and killings are nothing new. I’m not a Dem or Repub, I voted third party in 2016. I find any killings like this repugnant. I think most people do.

What about Kamala Harris, de Blasio’s daughter, the celebrities who are funding bailouts for looters?

I feel like it was bound to fail. I’m looking forward to reading this book called Liberty: The God That Failed about the enlightenment ideas that led to the revolutions and all that. Looks interesting.

And I disagree. It is about racism as a value, racism is the core unspoken value. People loot because they are opportunists. They feel the system is dysfunctional (and it is) so they take advantage of this opportunity to take what they feel they are entitled to in justice. It wasn’t liberals who enslaved Africans and tried to maintain them as property. Was it? Many still have not evolved from that mentality. There is a deep assumption that blacks are inferior, dangerous and should be treated as such. Lost morality? What kind of morality justifies slavery and perpetuates the myth of white superiority?
 
Yes there were people decrying it then. People don’t need to burn down the country kill loot and spread terror to make a point. People get it .

Way to blame all of “America” for the actions of a relatively small group.

I also haven’t seen anyone condoning looting. I have actually seen quite a bit of news footage of African-Americans who live in the looted areas condemning the looting as being a distraction from the issue at hand and destroying essential businesses, like grocery stores, that people in their neighborhood rely on for essentials.

I’ve seen funds to bail out protesters. Please point out the ones that say they’re set up for the looters?

Then perhaps you have not been paying close attention. Please let the quotation above sink in; it is a clear case of trying to excuse the looting, murder, arson, and utter degradation because “they are entitled”

No one is entitled to sin. Not the original slave owners, and not the murderers and arsonists and looters.
 
I don’t understand your comment. America supported slavery from its start and survived a bloody war involving it. The remnants of those sentiments last to this day.
