Well, then their press release is, um, not very truthful, to put it as charitably as possible.

To be fair, the press release I cited concerned the US, and specifically Chicago. Santi2 lives in the UK, so is probably referring to the planned protest at Westminster Cathedral, in London.

Well, if they really wanted to be non-disruptive, they could dress like everyone else at Mass and just follow the rubrics.

Judging from this quote from the Rainbow Sash webpage that someone posted earlier, they are apparently encouraging Catholics who have left the Church over “issues of justice and sexuality,” to also come forward for Communion and participate in the protest. I need to have one Sunday each year to speak in favor of my own favorite sins.

However, because of the Catholic Church’s official rule that only baptized Catholics are entitled to receive the Catholic Eucharist, we only encourage people who identify as Catholics to actually come forward seeking Communion. We include in this invitation those baptized Catholics who may have “left” the church because of issues of justice and sexuality.
