fix:
I think your love of sin and relativism has blinded you. Right?

You see how one can twist the truth when one has an agenda.
Oh thank you. I knew you couldn’t show where i said that and that you were just plain lying.

Thanks for proofing it!

Werner:
Look at your sentence above.
The Lord never spoke about hate.
He spoke about love.
You define yourself with hate.
That is the problem.
That is your problem.
I pray that some day you might understand what Christ’s teaching is about.

Werner
Werner, you obviously dont love the Lord, so don’t use Him as a shield for you sinful, willful, and BLATENT rebillion to Him, His Church and His Word.

If I’m wrong, and you do love the Lord, then ACT and THINK like it. Stop defending and promoting a lifestyle that will lead to Death[not the physical one, well that one too acutally].

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Nope, you are the one promoting lies:
Look at your sentence above.
The Lord never spoke about hate.
He spoke about love.
*** You define yourself with hate.***
That is the problem.
That is your problem.
I pray that some day you might understand what Christ’s teaching is about.

The last comment on that page just infuriates me!!!
Probably because it is completely false. The Pope doesn’t have freedom of persona expression - His will is that of the Church. Further, the Pope gained his position by being selected by God as being an obedient servant in submission to the will of God. This is the exact opposite of the behavior and actions of prideful and showy homosexuals.

the headline of this thread is misleading. Homosexuals are not invading the Holy City. a gay pride event is by definition organized by gays, that is, certain persons of homosexual orientation who define themselves exclusively in terms of their sexual orientation, have chosen to act on that orientation in overt, public ways which are objectively wrong because they are contrary to the natural order of human sexuality. They have further chosen to take this acting to a political level using such events to promote a political agenda which, according to their own propaganda, seeks to normalize homosexual behavior and destroy traditional definitions of marriage and family.

Many homosexuals reject totally the gay agenda and resent deeply being identified with the gay lib movement, and it is uncharitable to use the words “homosexual” and “gay” interchangeably.

Werner:
I can agree with your post, not with everything you write, but completely with the way you wrote it.

It nicely contrasts with that “we must hate, hate, hate to get into heaven” coming from some others.

Thank you!

Werner
I don’t hate homosexuals but I do wonder why they hate Christians so much as to disrespect their holy places and institutions. Why do they hate Christians so much that they want to eliminate marriage as an institution? Why do they hate Christians so much that they want to peddle pornography to our children?

It is uncharitable for homosexuals to hijack the term “gay.”

If homosexuals exist to reject the agenda, where are they and why don’t they speak out aggressively against an agenda that is focused on destroying critical social and religious institutions and laws?

as I just got done stating, and have reminded us on other discussions of this topic, there are indeed many persons of homosexual orientation who do reject utterly the gay political and social agenda, struggle heroically to live chastity, actively work to assist others struggling with SSA and related issues, and resent the use of the word “gay” as a blanket adjective describing persons who do not accept that agenda.

I guess we all agree then that the term is improper.

This is an amazing thread. Some posting think they have a direct line to God! (Nobody yet that I have seen is “hearing voices” though.) Others think that homosexuals are destroying social institutions and wrecking the rule of law. Wow! For a hated minority they sure are exercising a lot of sway!

Thank you. You have expressed my thoughts. The word “gay” is a political tool used by active homosexuals looking to change society.

They are not a hated minority.

Why does Werner find it necessary to mischaracterize others and why does he support the “gay” agenda in a nuanced way?

Probably because he’s given into the lies that satan tells.

Hi all!

Getting back to the topic at hand, I saw the following in today’s Jerusalem Post:
J’LEM CENTER DELAYS GAY PRIDE PARADE

By Etgar Lefkovits and JPOST staff

The international gay pride parade planned to take place in Jerusalem this summer has been postponed to 2006, due to the upcoming implementation of the disengagement plan.

A committee meeting of the Jerusalem Gay and Lesbian Center arrived at the decision in coordination with Interpride, the international association overseeing the parade, Israel Radio reported.

“The gay community in Israel is not oblivious to what is going on in the country and to the major public event that the Gaza pullout will be,” Hagai El-Ad, the director of Jerusalem’s Gay and Lesbian Center, said earlier this month.

The decision by local organizers to postpone the 10-day event due to the Gaza withdrawal represents a dramatic about-face for the group, which had previously refused to even discuss the possibility of a postponement amidst rising public opposition to the parade over the last couple months.

The move was seen as a face-saving measure in light of police opposition to issuing a permit for a major event that coincided with the planned pullout from Gaza.

Police were planning to ask organizers to postpone the event since their forces will be overburdened with the concomitant withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, officials said, although El-Ad noted that such a request had not been received to date.

The 10-day international gay event was scheduled to take place on August 18, just three days after the planned new date for the month-long Gaza withdrawal.

Even before the conflict with the Gaza pullout emerged, the idea of holding such an international parade in Jerusalem was a source of bitter controversy.

In a largely conservative city, with a strong religious and traditional makeup, the idea of holding such an international parade in Jerusalem is seen by many, even outside of religious circles, as out of touch with both the spiritual character of the city as well as the sensitivities of its observant residents.

The planned international gay parade in Jerusalem spurred a rare show of unity among senior Jewish Christian and Muslim religious leaders in the Holy Land who had joined forces in urging the government to cancel the event, which they viewed as a deliberate affront and provocation to millions of believers around the world.

At the same time, the parade won the support of the three major non-orthodox streams of Judaism, including the head of Israel’s Masorti (Conservative) movement, Rabbi Ehud Bandel.

The movement’s public backing of the parade was questioned by some other Rabbis from the traditionalist movement as out of touch with basic core values and the Bible.
Jerusalem held its first annual local gay parade only three years ago.

The last international gay parade, which took place in Rome in 2000 despite the wrath of the Vatican, attracted about half a million participants, while local organizers had been expecting tens of thousands of revelers for the Jerusalem event this summer.
