Angry? You bet I’m angry. Abortion on demand, killing babies in their mothers’ wombs? I’m not angry at the women in the shelter. I’m angry with the culture that promotes death and irresponsibility. These women and children are victims of the culture of death.
Maybe you should try volunteering. It will give you a whole new perspective of what society has done to these throw-away people. Their lives are changed. They come in sultry, listless, passive. You are mistaken, what was sin is sin yesterday will be sin tomorrow, and the next day. Humanity does not set the standards of good and evil, that comes from God alone.

Children need a stable family to grow up in, that means a mother and a father. Granted in today’s society its getting harder and harder to find people that make good parents, but they are still out there.

A problem with today’s society is the wonderwoman mentallity among women, they think they can have it all and their children do not suffer any consequences from their lack of parenting skills. What good is it if the mother can afford to have children if she is rarely present in their lives, check out how many Hollywood divas are having kids and letting the nannies raise them.

speaking as a guy who is down on his luck at the moment. I can honestly say that I am put down more by the over regulation of the left than anything coming from the right. I’m mandated by the state to have car insurance even though I have never had an accident, pay for taxes on necessary items such as food, clothing, and even on life saving medications. Given the money spent on taxes I could easy help myself in providing food on drink on the table, but alas the left thinks the government is better in deciding how I should spend my money. God forbid i should consider starting a small business to pay for my necessities, can you imagine the red tape involved in that?

I think I see what you are syaing. The more people we can kill the less people there are to require WIC, fight in unjust wars , need medical assiastance ,need care when they are elderly. etc, etc. So is there a magic number of those you feel need ot be killed to solve all these problems? I am Catholic. Jesus told us to love our enemies and to treat the poor and the stranger with dignity. Catholics take Jesus’ mandate very seriously. That’s what being Catholic is.. Our parish has St. Vincent de Paul, a sick and elderly program, and a parish nurse ministry. We are trained by social service nurses on how to visit and help the homebound. We bring them food. We check out their needs, and report back to the appropriate ministry what needs to be done. If there are household repairs that need to be made, Holy Name Society and Boy Scouts make the fix. Boy Scouts shovel and salt the walkways. We drive them to their doctor appointments, get their prescriptions filled. Our pastor along with Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist bring them Communion and tend to their spiritual needs.

These are all things the government can’t do.

women have never needed marriage to HAVE children. But it is a fact that children raised in a marriage have a greater chance of escaping poverty than children raised by a single parent. Many of today’s social ills can be placed at the foot of devaluing the institution of Marriage.

Our now Cardinal Burke made sure to keep open “unsustainable” parishes in our inner city when budgets called for closing parishes.

Then there is Catholic Charities, the largest private charity in the world.

It doesn’t do our Church well when it’s own members question her commitment to the poor and disenfranchised.
