How Are "SDAs" Not In Harmony With The Apostles?

Yes, the SDA denomination teaches that Jesus and the Archangel Michael are the same person, sort of like the President and the Commander-in-chief are the same person.

Please give protastant101 a break. All Protestants often misspeak and SDAs are especially know for that. What he meant was Jesus founded the Christian Church which became the CC.He know that happend 2,000 years ago. He is just confused! After all he is trying to worry about eternal damnation while attempting to reconcile the false teaching he was taught with the real facts being given to you. That is enough to confuse even smart protestants, like Lutherans. I mean he is finally coming to realize that there is a real church out there and all he have to do is have faith the size of a mustard seed must be awe inspiring to a SDA, don’t you think?

I think he’s on a mission. But the SDA church and their founder are so far “out there” that I just can’t get on board with any of it and don’t see how anyone can. They are our brothers in Christ, but I think a little capricious in their interpretation of Scripture and their trust in EGW. But that’s just my humble opinion.

Let’s face it, a Church who’s founder is a woman who claims to have had over 3000 visions and been in the very presence of God and also claims God told her that Jesus was irretating to His “older” brothers, is not a Church whom I can trust to feed me the Christ nourishment my soul needs whether or not they are in harmony with the Apostles.

Actually, the silence of the OP in this issue - his refusal to provide an answer in spite of my asking twice, and his posting following my questions - provides affirmation of your answer, Marsha.

Actually, they teach that the soul goes to sleep upon the death of the mortal body. They also teach that evil souls are annihilated upon judgment and simply cease to exist. So, no permanent hell at all. Only permanent Heaven. I know that it’s nowhere in the bible…

If you would follow your own rule here, then there should be nothing but Scripture on this site as well. You are doing a fine job of digging your own hole here. Any Christian ministry would be bound to have things on their web site by other authors, pioneers, etc. If you see anything not supported by the Bible in Steps To Christ, let me know.

That is an excellent testimony - one which I am sure to tell others; and I will make sure I tell them it was a Catholic who shared that with me. I agree too with the concept of how “cancer becomes a blessing” as I have had a similar experience with severe burns. Lieterally “tried by the fire.” God must see a lot of “gold” in you. he is doing lots of refining, but just look at the blessings. 👍

I take it that by saying “reinstitute” that this is a public admission that you have switched to a church who carried out the first Inquisition, killing many people just for not believing right. And you say that Adventists are in favor of reinstituting" this? I’d like to hear you explain that. Do you dream these things up while you are knitting?
