They could only be less happy, since true happiness can only come through growing in holiness, growing closer to Him. Embracing the unholy can ultimately only lead to the unhappiness of separation from Him.
Only 22% of people who identify as Catholics are even practicing so that stat is uselessPolling generally that between 40-65% of those that identify as Catholics…
That doesn’t really make the position that better and I’m sure many people are aware about what pro-choice people believe in general, though there are variants. When Catholics say this I don’t think they understand pro-choice. Being pro-choice doesn’t mean you would have an abortion, or even recommend one.
Why is this not accepted by the pro-life crowd? Let’s all agree that abortion is wrong. Let’s get past that. The I’m personally pro-life argument is known well enough.
The pro-choice people haven’t been making much progress either so there aren’t many options with all the incompetence.Pro-life” doesn’t solve anything. Until Catholics realize this isn’t a perfect world, and start proposing and implementing practical and effective solutions, we won’t solve the problem
This fallacy influences lots of Christians, not just Catholics, to squeamishly accept the rhetoric of “choice.” They aren’t bad people. They know abortion is morally wrong. But they worry, “How can I possibly imperil a woman’s health or rob a woman of choices?”
Gotta love how children born to mothers who don’t want them are told they and everyone else would be better off if they were never born at all.The most successful way to end poverty in any society is to allow abortion. It’ actually not even close. Forcing a woman to raise and take care of a child she cannot afford to not only ruins her life but the life of the child, increasing crime, disease, poverty.
I am NOT saying abortion is the answer. Far from it.
As far as social welfare funded through the government…this is my take on it:
So called “free” birth control is not free. It’s funded through taxation and as such it’s not held accountable to any measures of performance because taxes fund it whether it does its job or not (and taxes aren’t optional). Liberals like you enjoy pretending government social programs are the solution when in fact they’ve never worked ever since the almighty FDR.
Well of COURSE killing poor people in the womb lessens the amount of poor people being born, and thus poverty. You are simplifying the issue. The pro-life position is based upon a fallacious foundation, specifically that we live in a fair and good world and any abortion is an injustice. This is simply not true. Look at the facts. The most successful way to end poverty in any society is to allow abortion. It’ actually not even close. Forcing a woman to raise and take care of a child she cannot afford to not only ruins her life but the life of the child, increasing crime, disease, poverty.
