Biden cant even understand the rule of law, much less follow it.

Really now. What rights do you want to protect, when the persons you want to defend may be freely killed at the “choice” of the government?
Well, that added a lot to the discussion…hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

So because we have so much capitalism, big government spending doesn’t work? That’s not surprising. Modern capitalist economies increasingly tend to direct wealth to a smaller and smaller segment.
Yes, immigration, poverty, racism and others are all moral issues within the Catholic church… The difference is, the people involved in these issues have a voice and can speak out and ask for help, get guidance, voice their complaints and work and participate with others to correct their injustices. Who speaks up for the unborn? The unborn is the most innocent and the absolute most helpless. They cannot speak up or do anything at all to work to fix their situation. They are totally and completely dependent on others, and instead of getting help they are killed. Then it is morally wrong as to the long list of other issues.
Each Catholic has to reach their own conclusion. Some Catholics reach a conclusion that is contrary to the Church’s conclusions. That is true for many issues, including the ones you seem to have a problem with. You are saying there are governmental polices I have to support to be a good catholic. So the church is pointing how you should vote?
No they are not telling me I have to vote for Biden, but that I have to support big government “policies”.
I will never support them as they do not work and do more harm than good.
No, it is because the technological developments. Every profit that is produced by robots, software or artificial intelligence (including all the intellectual property on data and algorithms and chemical formulas and genetic information) is being assigned to the owner of the robots, software and intellectual property - to the capital owners. The impact of human job is being diminished. There is such term as Wage share - Wikipedia - never in the history the capital owners is having so much income than today.Rau:

Really, please explain
This is an opinion you are entitled to hold. But the fact remains that the Church does not mandate single issue voting - the Church teaches that all Catholics are to consider all issues.Yes, immigration, poverty, racism and others are all moral issues within the Catholic church… The difference is, the people involved in these issues have a voice and can speak out and ask for help, get guidance, voice their complaints and work and participate with others to correct their injustices. You should have a look on the current economy - the emergence of gig economy and precariat, the instability in job market, the long and low start for the career, the inaccessible education. All these things erode the economic fabric on which the family can be built and which is absolutely necessary for the raising children. If there is no socially and economically just and solid foundation for the families, then there will never be loved and expected children. The declining birth rate gives proof to this. The capitalist society and economy is quite cruel and there are less and less people who are willing to bring children to this society.TMC:

Yes, that is what Justice Thomas said. If he can convince 4 other Justices on the Court that he is correct, his position might become law. Apparently you think he is correct. I think he might be, but I doubt it. What we do know is that at least four other current Justices, and maybe more, do not agree with him. Why don’t they agree with him? How can we discuss the issue to advance the conversation past the current impasse? With respect to the precedents on the right to abortion, Justice Thomas says:
“But those decisions created the right to abortion out of whole cloth, without a shred of support from the Constitution’s text.”
ETA: And of course Thomas is correct about the Constitution. It takes a lot of twisting to find in it something which was never there.
Yes and to realize the greater importance of some issuesthe Church teaches that all Catholics are to consider all issues.
That’s a problem don’t you think? That pretty much means whatever conclusion they have reached is wrong. Some Catholics reach a conclusion that is contrary to the Church’s conclusions.
Well, certainly against Church teaching. Yet we have lots of Catholics on this forum who routinely disagree with the Church’s teaching on matters of public policy, but still assert they are not “really” going against the Church - primarily by asserting that public policy issues are not within the Church’s purview. The Church, of course, does not view it that way. That’s a problem don’t you think? That pretty much means whatever conclusion they have reached is wrong.
Could you give an few examples of such ‘matters of public policy’ some Catholics here disagree with?Yet we have lots of Catholics on this forum who routinely disagree with the Church’s teaching on matters of public policy
Seriously? You know what they are. Here is an incomplete list: the death penalty, immigration, worker’s rights, right to healthcare, care for the poor, care for the environment, the universal destination of goods, income inequality, and so on…Could you give an few examples of such ‘matters of public policy’ some Catholics here disagree with?
