How many Protestant denominations are there?

Well then that should be the starting point!

“More than 1” instead of inflating the number based upon “who knows what sources”.

We are! But that is based upon the apparent belief that Catholicism is “truly one” (don’t look at me, you started this).

So my recommendation is to do some self reflection and then try to remove the splinter this side!

Well I believe Christ founded the Church. The fact that a patent is claimed (yes it is a common thing Catholics think) has been discusser so many times!

I don’t believe that the Christian Church has been “one” since the Resurrection. There have always been people or groups of people who have differed and split into geographical or theological factions. One Church is a myth.

I’ve seen you ask this so many times.

Your local parish is an example. You know, there where they preach about Jesus!

So, Our Blessed Lord lied in Mathew 16?
When Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me”? No, of course Jesus didn’t lie. That is what Christians do - they follow Jesus. That is how we know each other - and Him.

Yet they belong to one entity, the Bride of Christ which is the church Jesus started. Do you agree with me on that?

Our Blessed Lord also promised that the gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church, singular.

Just like the reality within the confines of the Catholic Church.
Catholic means universal. She is One Bride. Projecting Protestantism’s non-universality onto the Universal Church is only self-indicative on the reality within Protestantism.

Yup. We all believe this. We see Catholics as part of us. And not that “seperated brethren” stuff you sometimes read on here!
