How Muslims follow Jesus (pbuh)

As a Muslim, the Qur’an is my constitution and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is my leader.

Muhammad is the sole creator of the Quran, and “Allah” is his alter ego!

It is the Prophet Muhammad who is following the ways of all the past Prophets like Abraham, Moses and Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all).

Muhammad is the antithesis of Jesus and in no way his equal! Neither did he act like Jesus!

The Qur’an states that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was commanded to follow the religion of Abraham (pbuh). Had the religion of Abraham not been known to him, we would not expect God to command him to follow it:

"Then we inspired you (O Muhammad) to follow the religion of Abraham, monotheism; never was he an idol-worshiper." [16:123]

And who told you that the Quran stated that? Muhammad himself! Just like “Allah” stating that Muslims have to follow Muhammad, and it’s Muhammad that states that “Allah” said it!

Are you so blind, that you cannot see the ridiculous circular reasoning there?

A question for you: do Muslims practice this charity towards everyone, or only towards fellow Muslims?

There is no religious prohibition for Muslims who wish to voluntarily donate to help non-Muslims in need.

An example of this would be Muslims contributing to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

We do have a religious prohibition to only help our own fellow Christians.
We are commanded to help any and all.

Its too bad in Islam there is not the same command. Its left to the individual muslim if they need to help any and all. But, they Must help their own.

If you’re choosing between your actual flesh and blood family and strangers, sure, but otherwise you should give to those who need it most, not those who are of the same religion as you. All are God’s children regardless of reigion.

Exactly. Christian charities like the Red Cross help out in any and all disasters, and Christians donate to them regardless of whether their money is going to help Christians, Muslims, or atheists. Muslim victims of disasters are lucky that Christians follow Christ’s teachings on charity by helping EVERYONE in need (including Muslims).

There are no donkeys to be found where I live but if there were, then I would not mind at all riding one to work… although I would very much prefer to use a car since it is so much more convenient.

Would you, on the other hand, mind making ablution every time before you pray when there is water to be found where you live?

The point is, there are alternatives in transportation nowadays and one does not need to ride a donkey in order to go to work.

However, Is there an alternative for water in order to make ablution?

Muslims focus on the rituals that Lord Jesus didn’t care about. Neither circumcision, nor food will make you closer to God or will save you and Lord Jesus focused on anything except the ones you are mentioning. Besides, Lord Jesus told his disciples to deal with all these matters after He leaves, including Paul who taught that it is not a piece of skin that saves you but Lord Jesus so circumcision after Jesus means nothing theologically.

Do you take the Eucharist as He said? no
Do you believe in His salvation? no
Are you allowed to eat camel meat? yes (not allowed under Moses’ Law)
Can a divorced woman return to her first husband after marrying another one? yes (despised in the OT)
Do you divorce often? yes, which goes against what Jesus taught
Are you allowed polygamy? yes, something Jesus did not teach.

So you don’t follow the important commandmants and you stick to things that has no meaning after Jesus’ salvation; in other words, you are more like Pharisee, you follow the letter without the Spirit.

Mohamed died, and as far as I know he never got back up again, right now Mohamed can’t even raise his big toe.

Jesus died and arose from the dead, I’ll listen to the the Man who said He would “destroy the Temple and raise it up in 3 days.”

The way Jesus (pbuh) made ablution would certainly have been the same as done by Moses and Aaron (pbut) and which is mentioned in the Book of Exodus, chapter number 40 and verses number 31 to 32: 31 - And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat. 32 - When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.

What this means is that merely sprinkling with “holy water” the way that Christians like yourself are doing it surely does not equate with the proper method of ablution done by Jesus, Moses and Aaron (pbut).

As for Passover which commemorates the Exodus and freedom of the Israelites from ancient Egypt, many Muslims do indeed remember this event by observing a day of fasting just like how we believe Prophet Moses (pbuh) fasted on that day to express gratitude to God for liberating the Israelites from Egypt.

This day, which in the Islamic calendar falls on the 10th of Muharram every year, is known as the Day of Ashura.

And so, even though it is not a religious obligation to do so, many Muslims do indeed follow Prophets Jesus and Moses (pbut) in remembering the Exodus by fasting on this Day of Ashura and often, also fasting on the two days immediately before and after this day.

Muslims believe that Jesus (pbuh) did not die and he was indeed raised up alive to Heaven to be with his Creator and he will return one day.

This will be explained in a later post, God-willing.
