Don’t mind him. He’s just trying to fight identity politics with identity politics. That is not going to work and is only going to make things messier.
 
It has a better chance of working than standard right wing politics which seems more obsessed with being classy losers.
 
There is nothing the Far Left wants more than a race war. It would just confirm them in their beliefs and give them more ammo to work with. What this battle should be is between individualism vs. collectivism.
 
I just observe the tribalism going on around me in everyday life. Far Left groups are all about dividing people up by sex, sexual preferences, race, ethnicity, etc. whereas conservatives and classical liberals focus on the individual.
 
From what I’ve seen conservatives get a wee bit upset when concerns from non- white people come up.
 
Most people, including conservatives, don’t care what race you are.
 
But they do get very upset when the topic is brought up, did you see the Simpsons thread?
 
No. I have heard of the controversy though and think it is stupid that such a controversy exists at all.

A group of people from that are complaining about a racial stereotype. And conservatives are getting quite upset about it.
 
Why do you assume it’s only conservatives who think this controversy is a nothingburger?

Also, it’s pretty infantilizing to draw lines around groups of people and saying that you cannot make fun of this group for this superficial reason, but these groups are fair game. Also, people laugh at stereotypes in comedies not because they agree with them. The comedy comes from seeing how ridiculous these caricatures are.
 
I don’t think racism is something we shouldn’t be able to criticise.

Why do you assume only people on the left care about minority groups?

I got crabby over it too and I’m not a conservative. I’m a registered Dem who voted for Bernie in the primary.

Quit assuming and generalizing.
 
Do you mean caring about individuals who pertain to minority groups? Because of that is that case, people of all political stripes do.

My point was is that collectivist thinking is most a far left thing. And I mean far left: I’m not talking about classical liberals, libertarians, or moderates.
 
So you do know that was the point? They’d just made a generalisation based on assumptions, so I proffered am example of how it can go the other way. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear enough 😊
 
I am an American citizen. Also, was there a poll done to see what Indians actually think of this character? It’s easy to find a handful of people that agree with you and make a documentary.
 
  1. Police are not the majority of people. 2. Most police don’t shoot people for asinine reasons.
Also, give some examples of the racism you experience everyday. Racism is an easy accusation to toss around.
