I was wrong about Harry Potter

Today we will tackle one of the most insidious children’s books of all time. It was also made in a movie that helped propel the star of World War II.

I am speaking of the Wizard of Oz. It’s plot revolves around a young girl who ,having consistently flouted County leash laws, runs away keep from having her vicious dog put in the pound. She soon finds herself in a magical land where she proceeds to kill two loving sisters, one to steal her shoes and the other to keep her from burning infected straw that causes those exposed to it to dance like marionettes on a string & sing silly songs.

Having dispatched the two sisters she proceeds to help the Wizard of Oz defraud her “friends” - giving a fake diploma to a scarecrow, engages in medical malpractice by giving the tin man a nonfunctioning heart and sets a Lion up for sure death next time he is in a battle when he finds out a fake medal bestows no courage on him.

The movie also demeans short people, contain gross cruelty to animals in scenes were fake wings were glued on monkeys and the monkeys and thrown off the parapets of a castle and, promotes pollution when “Surrender Dorothy” is written in the sky in toxic smoke .

To top it all off after putting her companions through pure hell ,convincing than she needed their help to get home , it turns out she could’ve gotten home any time she wanted with help from no one.

You forgot to mention the implied advocacy of drug use in that movie,like when Dorothy got high in that field of poppies. There was a scene that was edited out of the movie where Dorothy and her companions were frenetically dancing under the influence.
It’s probably on the the web somewhere. That whole movie was a psychedelic trip.

You understood me correctly. All you have to do is make them doubt I exist. Please join me in demanding this book The Wizard of Oz] be removed from every library in the country and every copy of the movie destroyed. This book and movie make Harry Potter look like Anne of Green Gables.

And speaking of Anne - what about Marilla and Matthew, a brother and sister, living together as adults? What kind of an example does that set to our generation?

And their obese neighbor, Rachel, who sets a very poor example of diet and exercise, not to mention being a gossip.

Anne, herself, wandering around alone in the woods (can you say “bears,” children?) talking to the dryads (pagan goddesses of the woodlands) - what kind of an example does this set for our young people? Clearly, Anne of Green Gables also seeks to subtly undermine our children’s pure Christian faith and good morals.

Then there is that weirdly sinister book Alice in Wonderland. Causing terror in helpless animals is only one in a long list of Alice’s faults. And to think that this book has been considered a “classic” for children! Doesn’t that show us where society has been heading? :nope:

Also promotes drug use (one pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small). Mocks authority figures(Red Queen) and the menatlly retarded (White Knight talking backwards) .

Tomorrow we are going to deconstruct "The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Note that when you try to type the name D-I-C-K the program changes it to asteriks!!! Which makes one wonder if there was a hidden agneda for picking that name for a Kindergarten reader?

Reminds me of a story about a dwarf who walks up to a complaint counter in a store. He says “I’m not happy” The Clerk replies “so then are you grumpy”

Why are dwarves so grumpy? Look at them in The Hobbit, demanding things from Bilbo, upset that their only escape is to be stuck in a barrel to float down a river. Complaining about lack of food, etc…

Now we will tackle the most insidious children’s book of all. This one is especially troubling because even those wise and perceptive parents are realized after reading the first paragraph of the first Harry Potter book that JK Rowsling was in league with Satan had missed the danger of this book.

In speaking of the “Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe”

The book starts with gruesome scenes of the blitz in London.Fou children are caught up in this and are abandoned by their parents, that’s right their parents ship them off to strangers in the country. One can only imagine the terror this causes and children who are led to believe when the going gets rough your parents abandon you.

So the children end up in the country with a mean governess and the standoffish professor. The author fills us with stories about is OK be disobedient really. During one of their illicit games in the part of the house they are robidden to go into they find a portal into her world fantasy.

This world is harsh beyond belief. Magic rules. Brothers betrayed her siblings for candy. One little girl is even kidnapped by a half man half horse and given a drug to knock her unconscious. Children can only imagine what happened to this poor child during the time she was unconscious.

In this world the author expresses his hatred of women. Women are either portrayed as young children to be abused or coldhearted witches. The role models in this world are animals. One can only imagine how many children have been killed and maimed approaching what they thought would be friendly animals.

The whole book is based on the premise that the end justifies the means. Accordingly the fact that children ultimately end up hacking characters to death with broadswords are beating to them death with rocks is presented as something good. And as in Harry Potter there are undertones of homosexuality. Just why does the author had the children coming out of the closet at books end?
