The difference is this, works of God and works of mankind. How come every passage in the N.T. that talks about judgment says we will be judged by our works, not by whether or not we have faith alone? We see this in Rom 2, Matthew 15 and 16, 1 Ptr 1, Rev 20 and 22, 2 Cor 5, and many, many more verses.>>>Lampo
Works of God as per the bible as a whole tells us that God created us in His image, meaning that we are as gods with the ability to know good and evil.
Ref: Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Gods work was to create Adam and Eve and give them intelligence which God knew would result in separation. Rom 9:20
Have you ever wondered why God said that a son leaves his mother and father and becomes one with his wife?
That is a marriage and the marriage between heaven (God) and earth (Adam and Eve) resulted in them becoming one as like god or in the image of God.
That resulted in a death sentence upon all mankind as or what we consider the original sin.
All that work is the works of Gods .
Our works:
The part we have in it as like gods, our works are, to exercise free will by doing good in the face of an evil environment: To rather choose the good.
Because we had nothing to do with the condition we were placed in, (lost) we therefore had no say so on how to save our selves from that condition
God did it for us in Jesus enabling us to be reconciled to the Father via Jesus apart from our works.
All of us are judged by our works, whether believers and or non believers, for this world is not kind to any of us and is accountable in the flesh.
If we are believers we are blessed while we are in tribulations, by peace of mind, strength in faith and joy of our salvation.
If we are non believers we suffer this world without Gods peace.
The wages of sin is death the bible says and when you die, you cease from sinning and are immediately present with the Lord in the air.
Church institutions require strict adherences to their by-laws for the weak in faith, otherwise, they may wonder aimlessly in an unkind world needlessly suffering without any hope and or peace.
Hope that helps.
Peace>>>AJ
