My MIL, who needs ANY job desperately, can’t get one because she is an “unskilled” laborer and is not bilingual. We live in S. California. She is not too proud to sling hash, yet there is no job for her. I don’t think all US workers are elitest snobs who won’t do grunt work.

On another note. I have had a hard time getting a job with my degree because I am not bilingual. I have seen a few jobs I would love to do in my Diocese… Again, they are bilingual required jobs.
