Bolton makes clear they are true.
180 degrees wrong. Bolton is a proud man who dislikes Trump for firing him. If Bolton had actually heard Trump say there was a quid pro quo, he would have said it already. He didn’t, because it didn’t happen. If Dems even had it third hand, they would have introduced it just like they introduced all the other speculation and hearsay that was their whole case.

We’ll see when his book comes out. He’ll suggest it. He’ll imply it. He’ll wrap it in 200 proof vitriol. But he won’t say it, because it didn’t happen.

Celebrate :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: - Dems just lost their hope to call witnesses. The vote called was 51-49. Next step - acquittal!!!
Does it not bother you guys that Trump has a negative approval rating and a whopping 48% of your fellow Americans think he should be removed from office?

Please don’t gloat. It’s unbecoming .

We have a Supreme Justice presiding.

If Trump is acquitted without additional witnesses, would you conclude the SJ enabled it ?
No, I would conclude that the Senate did it. I’m sure many will blame Roberts, but I don’t think it’s his fault.
It’s not that. No Republican can win statewide office in Missouri without the 7th District, which is extremely conservative and pro-Trump. It’s also where Blunt lives. It’s not a matter of backbone, it’s a matter of being faithful to your constituency.

And I could forgive voting against Trump if I believed it was honestly done. Romney’s opposition appears to be personal and petty; not very admirable in a senator.
So, they have to pacify a group that refuses to see the truth. But I’m glad you could forgive them if you thought it was done honestly and then you proceed to cast accusations on Romney. It makes me wonder about your sincerity.
Kelli said a trial with no witnesses is a half trial.
One fact that I am happy came out is in 250 years of Impeachment they average 30 per Senate trial. And both president’s impeached had live senAte witnesses that never testified in the house.
That ends the CHARADE that they had to be called in the house
Well, we know that Republicans didn’t vote for witnesses, so the cover up is almost complete.
Bolton is on tape saying he has know problem lying under certain circumstances. He has zero credibility. He is a disgruntled ex staffer, again no credibility.
Told you that Bolton would be called a liar.
Bolton will tell what he knows and perhaps what he dreams up, but most likely his speculations, whether he testifies or not.
Yep, doubling down on Bolton is a liar. Well, you had the chance to put him under oath, where the penalty for lying would be perjury and you ducked it.

Darn shame we couldn’t find out under oath.

Let them gloat. It’s more an incentive to show up in November to vote a corrupt party out of power.

No. They have to honor what they were elected for. And they do, particularly Hawley.

Oh no. He might tell the truth in his book. Nobody but him, his publisher and the NSC knows yet. No need to have him commit perjury or avoid committing it. He’ll say what he wants to say whether under oath or not. I’m betting he doesn’t have the goods. You can think otherwise, but we’ll both know shortly after his book comes out.

So, they were elected to protect a corrupt President. Got it.

Darn shame that we don’t find out now because it will be too late when the book comes out for removing Trump from office. But who am I kidding? The Republicans weren’t particularly interested in finding the truth here and just want to find ways to ignore what Trump did.

They were elected to discern the facts and tell the truth.

Never fear, the Dems will probably impeach him again anyway. They’re just not sure why, yet, or whether they have time to gin one up before November. But Bolton doesn’t have anything, so it will have to be something else. Maybe for saying “Shifty Schiff” or speaking at the March for Life. On second thought, they probably won’t impeach him for the latter because it would make it plain that they only have one real policy.

Ohhh my just more projecting.Pot calling kettle black, gaslighting etc. it’s stunning with everything the nefarious DEMS have pulled the past three years, that you can point your fingers at the Republicans and do it what I assume is a straight face.🤨

And if they discern that their constituents don’t like those facts, they will vote against witnesses.

They possibly will have to. It is unlikely that Trump will begin to act in a non-corrupt matter now after learning he can get away with it.

Again, you seem very confident that Bolton has nothing, but that doesn’t really explain why the Republicans were so scared to have him testify then.

Trump tried to extort the Ukrainian government into investigating and announcing an investigation into his political opponents by withholding US taxpayer money earmarked for Ukraine by Congress and you are claiming the Democrats are nefarious for not just letting this extortion pass?

I am doing just that, your assertions are fallacious .ThevDems blew it with their latest sham attempt at ousting a very competent, astute and successful POTUS.God bless President Trump.God Bless America!🙏🇺🇸

Ahem, allow me to “gloat” some more (if that is your impression). Dems lost it all in trying to get approval for their three amendments/motions tonight. They even tried to get approval for Justice Roberts to approve the motions, and it too, failed. Nothing the House tried to put through was passed by the Senate. I was surprised, but glad to see some nays turn positive.

[Since when is being happy about a situation called “gloating?”]

They aren’t and anyone reading the call summary with an open mind could see that.

The Democrats didn’t really blow it as much as the Republicans just showed themselves to be a corrupt party willing to overlook obvious crimes for political expediency. Of course, the Trump administration has greatly lowered the US in the eyes in the rest of the world while jacking up the deficit, so I’m not sure how you can say how it has been successful.

Celebrate? The nation wants it. Why are it this a cause for celebration?

Precisely.

Just because the office tasked to determine such things determined this doesn’t make it so?
Yes, their reasoning accuses that aid was withheld solely because of one reason, even though there is no mention of aid in the transcript and even though back in June they were aware that aid was under review and appropriate departments were made aware. They made a determination that even Congress has not made yet and that the DOJ rejected.

The Democrats showed themselves to be the corrupt party, putting together flimsy articles of impeachment which they even admitted they were working on 22 months before the phone call between Trump and Zelensky.

Trump feared him which creates an inference Bolton is credible.
More important, Bolton is willing to go under oath. The other Trumpies are not. So the others are not to be taken seriously. You said nothing if you didn’t agree to go under oath.

How could they work on them before the facts that make them up happened?
Who says they are flimsy? You?
