Just more voters who voted for Biden. You can’t go into an election saying the only way you’re going lose is through fraud, and then go try to manufacture allegations after the fact.
Good point. But let’s look at the bright side. At least we don’t have to hear about the benefits of the Electoral College over the Popular Vote this time.

Better to spend time or donating money to help Purdue and Loeffler win in Georgia. That’s where the battle is now.
You’re right. But I sense it will be awhile before the results of that election are certified as well. I would be surprised if we have a full Senate before mid year, especially since so much is at stake that there will be fierce battles fought over each seat. That’s why McConnell is rushing Fed and judicial appointments now.
Well, he’s doing that because Biden will be president. I don’t know, I think Georgia has done a pretty good job, Abrams absurd accusations notwithstanding.

Jon, do I sense a change in attitude from you?
No. My opposition is to the demagogic claims that Trump is trying to subvert democracy.
By the way, I think there is a lot of “blind belief without evidence that the election was stolen” and “equally blind belief that Trump is going to steal the election through the courts or state legislatures” in real life and on CAF.
Both groups should listen to Shapiro.
I’ll admit the evidence leads me to think Trump is trying to steal the election through the courts.
There’s less evidence of that than what his team has shown to support fraud.

One way or another, I see this bubbling over into civil war. Especially if Biden manages to keep the win and starts implementing wholesale socialism.
At least one person doesn’t believe it is only “the left” capable of violence and rioting. But the idea of a “civil war” is a tad grandiose. I do not see very many people willing to die as a traitor over politics. We do not have but a smattering truly given over to fascism.

Civil war will not start from conservatives. There are 73 million upset Trump voters. Many think there was fraud, and who can blame them. If most Democrats believe Trump is an illegitimate president because of Russia or the EC and think he is Orange Hitler, it isn’t hard to assume that they think getting Trump out by any means, including stealing the election, is justified.
Even with that, no cities are being looted and burned. Store owners boarded up windows out of fear of Biden voters, not Trump voters. And for good reason.

To believe anything that Adam Schiff says is to be a fool. The man had no truth in him. He colluded with the so-called whistleblower Eric Ciaramella. He intentionally lied about what Trump said on that phone call in committee.
He couldn’t care less about the constitution.

The thought has occurred to me that perhaps one good to come of the election law suits was that the loss was spread out over enough time to let people adjust. I especially have sympathy for the younger GOP voters who haven’t been around long enough to understand that losing is always a part of politics. You really do win some and lose some. The party needs to not burn the next few elections over one loss, especially in Georgia where there is a Senate to still win.

I can blame them. They have allowed themselves to be taken in by Trump’s silliness.

The logic in that sentence is too bizarre. If Democrats condemn Trump as illegitimate, then they will use only legitimate means, like impeachment, to correct things.

That makes as much sense as your comment, and is probably also wrong.

I do not think most Democrats believed him to be illegitimate. I know some did, but he was elected and sworn in. That makes a president legitimate, regardless of the popular vote, or subjective opinions about him. A lot did not like him, evidenced by this record-breaking election.

I wonder what he thought of the Constitution when he was pursuing that faulty impeachment over the russian collusion hoax. Something Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden ALL ought to go to prison over?
Hmm. That same constitution allows for the House to impeach a president. If the Senate ratifies it, then the president is out of a job. If as in this case it doesn’t, he stays on the job. Which he did.

It all played out entirely as per the Constitution’s rules.

Was it politically motivated? Of course. Little of what comes out of Congress… or any other part of the political process… isn’t.

Now he should respect the constitution and bow out gracefully. He lost the election, period.

True, and young Republicans need to look down ballot where the party gained double digit in the House, 2 state legislatures (significant in a redistricting year), and a couple of governors. Trump’s loss was Trump’s, in large measure because of Trump’s mouth.

He has something like 73 million votes, historically, second to only Biden’s as it stands now.

We’ve grown as a nation but not that much from when Obama racked up some high numbers.

No, I think Trump won and something nefarious is going on.

In fact, yes, I do think Trump won. What are our votes doing being counted overseas? Why is our military seizing servers in Germany? Why is Dominion cancelling out from an appearance to discuss this?

Take it or leave it, Dr. Gorka’s show was saying this is somewhat of an incident akin to the assassination of JFK, I think it is. I think Sidney Powell will go down in American history for her heroic efforts.
