Is any TV show immune to the left's agenda?

Its sad to see so many people that think homosexual characters are okay for our young ones to watch. I can see if they are telling the story that homosexuality can lead to all sorts of problems and is a sin, but no, they are portraying it as a good, as normal. We are getting killed by the homosexual mafia and our priests need to speak up about this every week. Its getting out of control.

Thanks for posting this, my kids are watching this series, so now I can monitor them. Although at this point they have been so brainwashed by the culture and lack of speaking out by the priests, they dont listen to me when I talk about the evils of homosexuality. They think homosexual people are doing good by giving into homosexual inclinations.

I’m currently re-watching seasons 1 & 2 in preparation for seeing season 3. It’s sad to hear they go that route, but not surprising. The show has always felt like it had a pretty liberal bend to it. I’m just trying to overlook that nonsense and enjoy the overarching story of lovecraftian horror.

Hollywood does whatever it wants. The upcoming streaming services will make it a point to include offensive content. LGBT characters will appear not as average people but as those engaged in homosexual behavior. Nothing graphic will be shown but it will be clear.

Becoming an entertainment professional requires a lot of knowledge, skill and legal help. I know someone very talented who is trying to break in and another who is getting work but only at a low level.

We should complain - accurately and politely.

Right Edwest, context does matter.

Let me give an example:

A movie explains that a person is a homosexual. Homosexual meaning that person has intellectually given into the sin of homosexuality. Its not just the acts. If one gives into wanting to be with a man, then one is considered homosexual, thats a sin. The movie goes on to show that this is a good, and how happy the person is, and then goes on to show the person holding hands with someone of the same sex. The movie never shows the evil and problem of homosexuality. This is what we are seeing now in all of media and our society. The gay agenda is promoting homosexuality as a good, as normal. Its truly lack of compassion for those dealing with same sex attraction.

The same goes for divorce and other sins. Movies would do well to show how these sins truly affect the family and society. It would be well to see a movie that shows a person struggling with same sex attraction and how they have defeated the inclinations. They could get the best information from the group Courage. It would probably not be popular, kind of like how the movie Gosnell was with abortion.

That drives me crazy too.Not only on tv shows but commercials. The men are bumbling idiots and the women are always so condescending .Not painting either sex oops.gender in a good light

Feminism is really having negative effects on society.

I want to read the book “The Nature, Dignity, Mission of Women.” I can learn alot about my wife and true femininity.

That is how such things are sold to the public. Starting in the late 1960s:
  1. Contraception good.
  2. Sex with anyone good.
  3. Abortion good.
  4. No-Fault Divorce good.
  5. LGBT sexual activity good.
  6. Two genders only? Not good. How about 48?
And so on.

All those you listed along with feminism are attacks against the family.

Shows that portray homosexual relationships are portraying real life. Homosexual relationships are a part of real life. They exist. More than we know, because many homosexuals are still not “out” due to fear of safety or other issues in their personal lives. There is no need to normalize this. It is already normal.

If someone doesn’t like that aspect of normal life, then don’t watch tv. I used to be a news junkie and I decided that it was impacting my life negatively. I have cut way back on the news I read, watch, and listen to. I still pay attention, but I don’t eat it up.

Turn the tv off if you feel like you are being scandalized by it. Hollywood’s job is to generate entertainment at a profit. They cast as wide of a net as possible, and that means being inclusive. That is their “agenda”. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Edited to add: Obviously, not all shows are appropriate for all ages. Parents need to be vigilant. I stay away from a lot of shows that have a lot of sex scenes in them, just because I am not interested in watching them. There is a difference though, between sex scenes, and portraying the life of someone who is homosexual.
It’s understandable that a people who are discriminated against should have an outlet to tell their story. That is what drama (speaking generally) is for. To dramatize real life events and tell a story. And gay people do endure a large amount of abuse and ridicule.

The problem becomes when deception enters the picture.
In real life people aren’t “leading with” their sexuality. Sexuality is one facet of a whole person, so when entertainment begins to define human beings by one facet deception enters the picture and distorts the human being.

Gay people are not the percentage of population as represented in entertainment.
And they don’t lead with their sexual preferences and lifestyle. They have many concerns about other real issues like other couples. Inheritance. Financial partnership. Acceptance by society. Protection from real discrimination (not “wedding cake bias”)on the basis of their sexual identity.

We can admit the good things existing in gay relationships or any relationships for that matter, but presenting gay couples as “just like” married male/female is a deception. They are not “just like” male/female couples. And that’s not a matter of religious belief but common sense science.

If you really care about gay people, accept them for who they are and don’t try and make them something/someone they are not, because deception only leads to injustice.

I can assure you that rarely do TV shows includefull blown homosexual sex in their content.
You haven’t watched season 3 of Designated Survivor on Netflix? They ruined a really good show with that aspect as well as some other over the top themes.

Have gift card from Amazon. Ordered! Thanks for the recommendation!

The content examples are:

Supergirl. Adopted sister realizes she’s gay. Finds girlfriend, It doesn’t work out. Has one-night stand with someone else.

Arrow. Male character is married to a man. The man he’s married to can’t deal with his superheroic activities so they divorce. The character then starts looking for another man.

I just don’t buy that this is some kind of “agenda”, as if there is some secret council controlling things behind the scenes. I think that people make shows, movies, books, etc. that they want to make, and that those shows often include gay people, just like reality includes gay people.
