Thanks, Gracesophia…that is what I read.
Gracesofia, Imagine your country is now overwhelmed with muslims and they are the majority.Very interesting. I wonder how influential these particular imams are? I notice they are all in Canada except for one in America.
Here is a link where you can read the fatwa: theamericanmuslim.org/tam.php/features/articles/20_north_american_imams_issue_fatwa_against_terrorists/0017835
And some salient points:
I agree with you 100% except any part which I may not have understood. So there is no blame on me. I do not support the extremists of any faith and I do not support any one who has no faith of any kind. I understand the good life of Jesus and his mother and I wish that all christians should try to follow the teachings of Jesus. They should try to be good christians.Dear Planten,
I believe there are many millions of Muslims that do their very best to follow their faith for Allah and as Allah as the centerpoint.
I also know there are millions of Christians, not just catholics, that follow their faith in The father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as deeply as millions of Muslims do in their own way.
The problems lie in the lukewarm believers of Christianity and the violent extremists in the Muslim faith. The Muslim Extremists will not destroy Chritianity, they will fortify Chritianity against a common enemy. Extremism
This is not what Christians wish for. We Christians live next door to people of many alternative faiths without condemming them. As people we want to love and respect people, just as most Muslims.
The lukewarm Christians don’t believe the truths of our beliefs. They are just there. They will hurt Christianity more than Muslim extremists just as Muslim extremists will hurt Muslims more than Christians will.
We must all pray for unity under the one God of Abraham we all believe in.
All Allah show us all the way.
God is Great

Similarly, I would like that Muslims should try to be good peaceful Muslims, including myself. We have to stop the fanatics of all faiths, at least verbally. Nobody should take up any weapons against any one.
I do not believe that Muslims should take over control of any country when they are in the majority. That would be foolish thing to do. But I also suspect that is what they will do, because they ( Muslims) are misguided in all such matters, that is because of too much politics.
Muslims are not understanding the way (Sunnah) of the prophet Muhammad:
Once, when the struggle was hard and Muslims were persecuted too much in Makkah, The pagans made an offer of peace or reconciliation to Muhammad in the following words:
That last offer, No.3 above was a good political post. But he rejected it. So the muslims who are running after a political power should learn a lesson that politics is not the aim of Islam. However, there is no harm in serving the people in any capacity.
- We offer you as much wealth as you want. But stop your preaching of One God.
He replied that he does not need any wealth.- They offered him a beautiful lady as wife if he had the desire.
He said he does not need any woman.- They offered him the kingdom and they said we make you the king of Arabia.
He said that he did not want the kingdom. He did not want to be a King.
I definitely feel that politics has never been the mission of any prophet of God. Moses had a duty to peform, i.e. to get his people out of Egypt. It involved some ploitics (defensive politics). Moses never wanted to capture power in Egypt. But King Pharoah always blamed Moses and Aaron that they wanted greatness for themselves and wanted to be supreme persons in Egypt and they wanted to over power the local Egyptian people. That was not true at all.
Likewsie the mission of Jesus was non political. He was accused by his enemies that he wanted to be the king of the Jews. But he denied that accusation.
It is better for the muslims to leave any political struggle alone. That political path will never solve their problems. They must serve and suffer and serve more and please try to live like Jesus did amongst bad people and bad rulers. Because the present situation resembles exactly to the times of Jesus in Kana’an.
Muhammad also had two roles like Moses a.s. Muhammad had two roles, The meek and gentle and loving in Makkah like Jesus a.s. He had another role like Moses a.s. which was exhibited in Madinah. Muhammad never wanted to indulge into any politics. He was forced into it by the pagan enemies. Muhammad has been described as a prophet, the like of Moses. he has also been described in the Quran as a prophet like Jesus.
Please forgive any of my bad remarks and mistakes. Muslims should not disturb any one in the world even in face of sufferings.
Not very in this regard. It is easy for Muslims to say ‘I haven’t heard of that guy’. These Muslims do not have any power in Islam to change anything and their goal from what I read isn’t to change anything in Islam but to just give some more lip service, in a different way, to try to convince us that Islam is peaceful while doing nothing to stop the violence in Islam.Very interesting. I wonder how influential these particular imams are? I notice they are all in Canada except for one in America.

And some salient points:
And I need to add that this: ‘“Believing men and believing women are protecting friends of one another; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong; they perform salat and give zakat…” (9:71)’ this tells me that nothing has changed. at least 1/8th of zakat is to go to their violent Jihadists who fight for Allah’s Cause. I have posted many times that from their Sharia laws (h.8) only applies Muslim to Muslim. Not very in this regard. It is easy for Muslims to say ‘I haven’t heard of that guy’. These Muslims do not have any power in Islam to change anything and their goal from what I read isn’t to change anything in Islam but to just give some more lip service, in a different way, to try to convince us that Islam is peaceful while doing nothing to stop the violence in Islam.
Once he said '“Believing men and believing women are protecting friends of one another; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong; they perform salat and give zakat…” (9:71)’ this tells me that nothing has changed. at least 1/8th of zakat is to go to their violent Jihadists who fight for Allah’s Cause. I have posted many times that from their Sharia laws (h.8)
And another thing is the twisting of words to make it sound like they are against the violence. ‘Wrongdoers’ are not those who fight for Allah’s Cause, the wrong doers are those who inhibit Islam or who do not work to establish it worldwide.
This is the most telling sentence: *"“Therefore, it is an obligation upon us (Imams) to inform all Muslims around the world that Muslims in Canada and the United States have complete freedom to practice Islam." *
This is EXACTLY what they want and in their Sharia laws and their texts violence is always an option. they can say otherwise, but until they change those laws all of the appearance of them saying they are against the violence is just more junk since Jihadists are admired and to be supported. This fatwa was a fabulous trick and the guy(s) who made it are all cackling and thinking they just got a brownie point for ‘waging Jihad with their tongues’.
‘complete freedom to practice Islam’ means to have Sharia laws fully enacted, and that all non-Muslims either be dead or subjugated. We need to learn their lingo and stop interjecting our own wishes and desires onto, or into, Islam.
Catholics in my part of America hold on tightly to their rosary prayer groups and their right to bear arms. Both are practiced all the time…with a true sense of humility and appreciation for the freedom to do so. Keep up the prayers and don’t lay down and throw the fight. It is sad to see that only one imam spoke out here in USA…it is telling…very telling…
I went to my fraternity meeting today and it began with a special prayer on not being afraid…
And on the way home with others, how confirmation confirms our baptism…to be able to die for Christ…
As I said on another post, each day we live, we are getting closer to the day of our death. We must be ready and not be like the foolish virgins…
I pray that the Lord will give me the strength to offer Him my neck if it should come to that…
So get on with my life with Christ’s joy and life, do the best, and live the Gospel.
Amen! Trust in the Lord, but keep your powder dry. Catholics need to trust and pray, they do not need to be naive or stupid. Militant Islam is a threat to the entire world, worse than Nazism or Communism. The crusade against Nazism had the support of the entire free world, the destruction of Islam should occupy no lower priority.Catholics in my part of America hold on tightly to their rosary prayer groups and their right to bear arms. Both are practiced all the time…with a true sense of humility and appreciation for the freedom to do so. Keep up the prayers and don’t lay down and throw the fight.
And so another excuse as to not at least try to let the ‘common’ Muslim know what you know. Just keep letting them go astray with what you call bad Imams. I don’t know if you really understand why I don’t put too much into what you say. You put a lot of energy into trying to tell us how peaceful Islam is and won’t even try to convince the others even on websites that are anonymous. If I was to try and teach / preach the good things to my people openly, I should be ready to carry my cross (as Jesus said it). It is difficult to teach a spoiled and misled nation already held fast in the clutches of misguided leaders. Those misguided leaders (pseudo-Imams) would not let go (release) the poor muslims from their clutches.
Those misguided leaders have got bad laws enacted in their countries so that nobody can speak the truth. So they have double influence against the truth speakers, i.e. the sword of the law, as well as, their secret army who are going about silencing the moderate Muslims.
The whole edifice will come down in time only. It will take time and it is hoped that all will be well in the end. The influence of the bad Imams is reducing because they have not given anything good to their people. They have got the Muslims divided into various sects and they are using the money from their followers for ulterior purposes. Mostly, they are telling lies to their followers.
The common Muslims do need some Fatwa to help them. So far, the Imams have only delivered adverse Fatwas against some non-Muslims. A time will come when common Muslims will not trust the Maulvis. The problems of the Muslims cannot be solved unless they get rid of the misguided Maulvis (religious teachers). As long as they are under the influence of their bad leaders, walking in the direction pointed to them, they cannot progress.
I am sure that the Muslims will never progress without an outside help from western countries. It happens like that when poor people are pressed hard by bad leaders, it becomes necessary to liberate them by foriegn help. It is not necessary that Moderate Muslims should try to bring down church teachings and it is not necessary that Christians should organise against poor Muslims. It is better to work together and Love will solve some problems. Faith, discipline, trust and interfaith love is needed.
There is much need from the western countires to exert pressure on the bad Muslims governments to cancell the bad inhuman laws in those so-called Muslim countries. There are laws against assumed blasphemy which carries the penalty of death. That is absolutely anti-islamic. The prophet Muhammad never needed any such bad laws to protect his honor. So why such laws are enacted in some of the so-called Muslim countries?. They enacted these laws to trap the christians and people of other faiths.
That is totally unislamic. But it is very much there and hindering the progress of the moderate Muslims.
I don’t mind praying for the conversion of Muslims. Let’s hope that sometime in the future, Our Lady, as Advocate and Mediatrix of All Graces, can initiate a mass conversion of Muslims as she did to the Aztecs in Mexico back in the 1500s.Yoohoooo…anybody there? I guess everybody took off when I mentioned praying for the Moslems? Jesus told us to pray for those we are at odds with. It’s alot more effective than talking about it…or at least we should pray first then talk. Oh well…
… We need to learn their lingo and stop interjecting our own wishes and desires onto, or into, Islam.
