I think Augustine is a microcosm of what we usually see in Catholicism and the world. Men tempted toward sexual promiscuity in their youth and they get some control over it when the hormonal fires of youth begin burning out.We all know young men who are able to control themselves in all of these situations. If some can do it, then most if not all can learn.
Stories like Augustine’s are awfully common, Bear.If it were impossible, the Church would not have the moral rules that it does.
