I’m sure most of us have been there (and still are battling that out). 😉

As I said before Rodrigo,
If it comes down to convert or die, I will gladly die (with the Grace of God)
I am not asking you to convince me that Islam is evil, I said you were welcome to let me know when they lie to me.

When that happens, let me know.

p.s.- I believe that they do worship the God of Abraham, I also think that they have been given false teachings about that God. Therefore, why would I submit to their teaching.

I realize many Christians say (probably out of political correctness, misunderstanding, or politeness) that the Muslims, Jews and Christians worship the same god.

This cannot be true. No Christian should believe this. Here is the reason why.

Suppose Christians accept that the Muslim Allah is the God of Abraham and thus the God of Jesus Christ.

Now, if this is accepted, then the God of Abraham has chosen a final prophet who has denied the divinity of Jesus Christ, and has commanded Christians to convert to Islam or suffer persecution.

So, Christians who believe that Muslims worship the God of Abraham - why are you disobeying your god? Why haven’t you converted to Islam?

By not becoming Muslims you have disobeyed your God since you deny the prophethood of Muhammad the desert bandit.

So what’s keeping you? You can say the shahada immediately: "I testify that there is no god (ilah) but God (Allah), and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God.’
Exactly 👍

you are misled, I have common sense. there is no best in fanatical Islam, do your homework.

I am not talking about fanatical Islam, I am talking about Islam in general. And if there were NO good in it, no one would follow it.

I am trying to do my homework, but I am trying to do it from an unbiased standpoint.

p.s.- You made a point of saying there was no good in fanatical Islam, does that mean you believe there is good in non-fanatical Islam?

Does that mean there is good in Satanism because people “follow” it?
I believe that Islam could not even be a religion sent from God. It is evil, and I will not change my views on this. I believe if there were a Holy war, which is already here, your next door neighbor who is muslim would look the other way. I cannot comment any further. Just remember who shot the Pope.

I realize I sound very hateful toward Islam and perhaps I do, but I know someone who was killed at 911, and I don’t care how radical they were. They were all muslim. People forget.

I think you just verified his point.

That aside, whats wrong with Satanism? They dont actually believe they worship Satan you know. They are a bunch of ex-christians who feel the need to tease current christians. If you ever read the Satanic Bible, its little more than Humanist philosophy with a sense of humour

I believe there is good in the religion of Satanism. In case you did not know, Satanism worships self, not Satan. And the self is a good thing, they just put too much emphasis on it.

And even if they worshiped Satan it would be because of power, or feeling or something else, these things are good, it is just an overemphasis that makes them bad. Happiness itself is a good thing, if you are happy, that is good, it is just not the best thing.

Catholicism focuses on the best things, not just good things. I believe you should not leave the best for something good, but I believe that God holds this world in existance, and so there is some good in it.

In the middle is virtue, if you go overboard on either end, it is evil.

I do remember who shot the Pope. It was a Muslim, most likely working for Russia. I mean, the Pope was not speaking out against Islam, he was speaking out against Communism. Also remember that the Pope forgave his attacker. If he can, I can too.

Why the heck would I even touch a Satanic Bible (these two words aren’t even worthy to be capitalized). I read the one true Holy Bible from Jesus Christ and His apostles. That’s it.
Now I know that you read that evil book and now I understand who I am dealing with here.

corvidae, you should be ashamed to call yourself a Catholic.

Why?

Because I believe that anyone can be redeemed?

Because I believe that people naturally follow good?

Did I lie that the Pope forgave his attacker?

I did not say that other religions were good, I said that they had some good (no matter how small) in them.

Now, I would like to know why I should be ashamed.

Because there is no ifs, ands, or buts that Satanism is evil. There is no good in it. Why do you think there is good in Satanism? Any Catholic here with me?

Are Satanist seeking happiness? Happiness is a good.

God holds Satan in existance. Since God cannot commit evil, existance itself is a good.

I think you are mistaking what I am saying, good within it does not mean good. Also, good does not equal best.

bella,
What is wrong?

As I said before, I think you misunderstand what a good means. Something may have good in it, but not be a good.

I would like to either start a new thread on this subject, or finish this discussion quickly, it is off topic.

p.s.- I am going to start a new thread on this topic

At first glance, Islamic belief appears to be almost compatible with Christianity and/or Judaism. Often people claim that the Muslims believe in the same God as the Christians: “They just don’t accept Jesus Christ”. However, as we shall see, the Muslim God is not like the Christian God. Islam rejects the biblical doctrines of the Trinity and the diety of Christ.
For the Muslim, Allah is the only true God. There is no such blasphemous thing as the “Trinity”. The Muslim God is unapproachable by sinful man, and the Muslim’s desire is to submit to the point where he can hold back the judging arm of Allah and inherit eternal life in an earthly paradise of gluttony and sexual gratification. Muslims have no concept of God as a loving and compassionate father.
to the Muslim, Jesus Christ is merely one of the prophets of Allah. According to Islam, the prophet Muhammed supersedes Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is not the Son of God or a part of any Trinity. We are told that He was nothing but a slave on whom God showed favor (Sura 43:59) Yet elsewhere we are told the Messiah is not a slave (Sura 4:172). Jesus Christ did not atone for anyone’s sins, although He himself was sinless (Sura 3:46).
They say Jesus Christ did not die on the cross. Various Muslim traditions say that He either miraculously substituted Judas Iscariot for himself on the cross, or that God miraculously delivered Him from the hands of The Romans and Jews before He could be crucified. Most Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was taken bodily into Heaven without having died.
In the Quran, Jesus did miracles, Muhammed did not. Jesus was sinless, but Muhammed sinned and needed forgiveness.
Jesus was called “the Messiah” and was even born of a virgin, yet Muhammed is supposed to be the greatest of the prophets!!
Aside from two, just two passages in the Quran, there is not a single passage in the Quran that indicates that God loves any portion of mankind, nor is there a single verse that indicates that people can know God on a personal level.
Not sure what you mean by personal level but are you saying Abraham and Moses didn’t know God on a personal level?
