I disagree. Just look at the number of times you have mentioned your prophet’s name. I reiterate: He is still guiding the minds of Muslims today. There have been many prophets mentioned in the OT - none as egoistical*. None* demanded their names to be called out during prayers or recital. All prophets of the OT bestowed power to God only. Even John the Baptist did not demand anyone to call out his name when praying. Instead, he acknowledged Jesus’ divinity and paid Him due respect.

Mohammad on the other hand, begged his followers to evoke his name so God may grant him a ‘special place’ in paradise. That emphasis alone is suspicious. Muslims claim Mohammad is only a “messenger”, remember? He is not a divine being, remember?
What do you think about the following verses of the Koran?

Surah 49:1
O you who believe! **be not forward in the presence of Allah and **His Apostle, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

Surah 49:2
O you who believe! do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loud to him as you speak loud to one another, lest your deeds became null while you do not perceive. (deeds for Allah!!!)

Surah 49:3
Surely those who lower their voices before Allah’s Apostle are they whose hearts Allah has proved for guarding (against evil); they shall have forgiveness and a great reward.

You have just made my point to Sister Amy even clearer. 👍

…what crosses your mind when you read a verse about forcing someone to convert, or to “smite their necks?”…
Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching;

and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.”

[Al-Qur’an 16:125]

Dr. Zakir Naik:

Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984

An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984.

This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235 percent, while Christianity had increased only by a mere 47 percent.

May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?

Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe. Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam.

The fastest growing religion in Europe is Islam.

Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?

For Catholics reading Muslim Woman’s quotes taken from Dr Zakir Naik - Here’s some info in case you don’t know:
[.
In a lecture delivered on 31st July 2008 on Peace TV, Naik argued that 9/11 was an insider’s job done by George Bush himself so that he can attack oil rich countries
](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Zakir_Naik)
I’m no Bush fan myself you know, but come off it now. Muslim Woman, you’re surely more intelligent than to believe something like this?

He’s also the same man who wanted to challenge our Pope in a live debate but the Pope did not react to his invitation. Wonder Why?

  • ‘Rome’s Envoy to Saudi Arabia Converts to Islam.’*
**The Western press and news agencies were attracted by Torquato Cardilli’s, Italian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, conversion to Islam.
Actually, Torquoato Cardilli was the second ambassador who converted to Islam. Before him, Ambassador Mario Scialoja also had converted to Islam. Having converted when he was Rome’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations, Scialoja was later appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Cardilli had spent many years in Muslim countries, and his conversion shows once again the rapid growth of Islam in Italy. About 1 million Muslims live in Italy and in the last two or three years about 5,000 people have converted.**

Many faces aka Analyzer in this case,
Is this going to be a tit for tat thing, should i keep pasting conversion stories from muslims to Christianity?

**Why not? Afterall this is a Christian Site and you have every right to post whatever you ‘think’ strengthens your faith.

But only thing I can suggest you is: Post them in a new thread, as this thread’s title is “Islam”.**

Many faces aka analyzer, it seems your faith is the one that needs strengthening. How many times do we see your weak religion being debunked here at every turn!
It must get exhausting for you continually defending a religion that relies on lies to tell the so called truth.
How can you keep track of what the truth is?
And although this thread is called ‘islam’, this is still a Catholic site, so of course we need to show you the truth, which is Catholicism, so we need to post things in this thread as well. 😉

as a Muslim I think : If I have power & courage to carry attacks on enemies , why on earth I will go for killing innocent people ? How that killing will benifit me or Islam or my opressed bro & sisters in Palestine ?

In 9/11 tragedy , maximum 3 thousands died . Tragedies in Iraq & Afghanistan took millions lives already.

because of 9/11 , Zionists & Christians benifitted in several ways , so time to think who really were behind that tragedy ? Those who suffered or those who gained ?
He’s also the same man who wanted to challenge our Pope in a live debate but the Pope did not react to his invitation. Wonder Why?
umm …Zakir is an excellent speaker . His memory is superb . He will be able to quote many Biblical verses from memory when I guess ( no offence pl. ) Pope will need his bible in front of him.

May be , Pope is the best Christian in this world but I don’t think he is a good speaker. He may send his representative to have a debate/ discussion on religion with Zakir . That will be wonderful.

Dear Muslim Woman,

First of all, Happy Eid el Fitr, may your fasting and your perseverence during the ramadhan will be rewarded by God/Allah.

Perhaps, you can tell us what goods that Zakir has done in his life. How he served the poor, perhaps. He may be blessed with good memory, but it will not do any good if he does not understand what he memorized, let alone does not do what God has spoken to him in either the bible or the quran. He must be good memorizing the verses of quran, I presume. So, forget the bible verses. I think you can tell us good things Zakir has done as what Mohammad taught.

I HATE that decent Muslim people are trapped in a false and cheap immitation of the truth, under penalty of death. In the 7th century A.D. (after Christ), Mohammed himself, declaring the Jews and Christians were in error, stated he was rewriting the Bible and replacing Jesus with himself as the main character. It was changed in subtle and not so subtles ways in furtherance of his ambitions. First, to persuade other Arabs and then (later changed/added to) to conquer those who did not accept his version. Those are simply facts. That is the simple history of how the religion of Islam came into being.

The original Bible (Old and New Testament) says that Jesus is the son of God who died for our sins so that we could be reunited with the God of love through forgiveness. (It is satan who is the “god” of hate.) The Bible warned about false prophets and that the anti-christ denies the son. The Mosque on the old temple mount has an inscription on the gold dome that says “God has no son.”

Dr. Zakir is inviting people to the Truth – God is one without partner. He is trying hard to save people from eternal fire.

What Mohammed REWROTE in the 7th century A.D. (after Jesus) was centuries and centuries of revelation. The END of the original Bible contains a curse on anyone who would add or take away from the revelation of the Bible.

Bible Curses Church Fathers Who REMOVED Book of Revelations

by Yusuf Estes ( ex Pastor)

The Book of Revelation was taken out of the Bible several times and then replaced and then taken out and replaced according to various Church Councils throughout Church history.

Guess the Church Fathers didn’t read the curse at the end of the book? 🤷

Islamic Monotheism

“The Christian sect of Athanasians insistently inculcates the tenet that Christianity is based on a belief in three gods (Trinity), that a slightest doubt as to this belief will lead one to immediate perdition; and that a person who wishes to attain salvation in this world and the next should definitely hold a belief in the three gods: God, the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost.

When I became a Muslim, I received a letter, which said: “By becoming a Muslim you have damned yourself to perdition. No one can save you. For you deny the divinity of God.” The poor man [who wrote that letter] thought that I no longer believed in God, not knowing that when Jesus had begun to preach, he stated the unity of God and he never claimed to be His son.
[Lord Headley al-Farooq; British diplomat, engineer]

*An answer for every question:/*I]

“I would always search for causes and purposes for everything. I would anticipate logical explanations for them. On the other hand, the explanations provided by priests and other Christian men of religion did not satisfy me. Most of the time, instead of giving satisfactory answers to my questions, they would dismiss the matter with evasive prevarications such as, “We cannot understand these things. They are divine secrets” and “They are beyond the grasp of the human mind.”

Upon this I decided to study, on the one hand, Oriental religions, and on the other hand, books written by famous philosophers. The books written by these philosophers always dealt with such subjects as protoplasms, atoms, molecules, and particles, and did not even touch on reflections such as “What becomes of the human soul?” “Where does the soul go after death?” “How should we discipline our souls in this world?”

The Islamic religion, on the other hand, treated the human subject not only within the corporeal areas, but also along the spiritual extensions. Therefore, I chose Islam not because I had lost my way, or only because Christianity had incurred my displeasure, or as a result of sudden decision, but, on the contrary, after very minutely studying it and becoming thoroughly convinced about its greatness, singularity, solemnity and perfection

[Muhammad Alexander Russell Webb; American diplomat, author]

*Direct relationship with one’s Creator:/*COLOR]

Now I realize I can get in direct contact with God, unlike Christianity or any other religion. As one Hindu lady told me, “You don’t understand the Hindus. We believe in one God; we use these objects (idols) to merely concentrate.” What she was saying was that in order to reach God, one has to create associates, that are idols for the purpose. But Islam removes all these barriers.
[Yusuf Islaam, formerly Cat Stevens]

*Universality: *
Islam is a religion that belongs not only to the Arabs but to the entire humanity. This universal quality presents a sharp contrast with the Judaic religion, whose holy book always refers to the God of Israel.

One more thing that I love in Islam is that this religion recognizes all the prophets, makes no distinction between them and treats the believers of other religions with compassion.
[Mahmud Gunnar Ahmad, Swedish Muslim]
