When buying Chick tracts, you have to be very selective in which ones you buy. But there are some that are good.
Well to each his own I guess. When buying Chick tracts, you have to be very selective in which ones you buy. But there are some that are good.
Do you actually buy them? If you give them to someone do you not worry that they might dig a bit deeper and read some of his other work? Surely use of any of his work gives credability to his other anti-so-many-things comics? You’ll never make a Catholic out of someone with Chick…When buying Chick tracts, you have to be very selective in which ones you buy. But there are some that are good.
Please see Post 91 in this thread.Do you actually buy them? If you give them to someone do you not worry that they might dig a bit deeper and read some of his other work? And so it goes on. You might only buy the ones you think all right, but by doing so you are funding all the others, as well. You do know that–yes? When buying Chick tracts, you have to be very selective in which ones you buy. But there are some that are good.
Which is why we ought to be putting our money into good evangelization materials–they’re so needed. Funding Chick isn’t worth all the extra baggage that comes with his other nasty material. Please see Post 91 in this thread.
Not quite the same as trying to convince someone they should become a Christian. If you give somone a comic and say ‘you shoud listen to what this guy says’ then they arn’t going to be a Catholic if they listen to you. Please see Post 91 in this thread.
Let’s not forget Anne Rice.Well, I don’t see too many Catholics converting vampires to Christianity - do you?
LOL
LOLLet’s not forget Anne Rice.
Peripherally, I sure hop that Jack Chick is not a Jesuit plant to make the protestants look bad. If he is we might have to make him a saint.
Somehow, “today is the feast day of St. Jack Chick” just doesn’t sit right with me.
As it turns out, I did know Jack Chick 30 years ago. That was before I became a Catholic. Who knows, May be responsible for my…OH NO!!![]()
Yes, and I’m mailing them to abortion mills.Do you actually buy them? If you give them to someone do you not worry that they might dig a bit deeper and read some of his other work? Wow, excellent point. I can’t believe I haven’t thought up that argument. And so it goes on. You might only buy the ones you think all right, but by doing so you are funding all the others, as well. You do know that–yes?uch:
I haven’t.Wow, excellent point. I can’t believe I haven’t thought up that argument.
On the other hand though, how many here have ever seen a Chick tract parody?
Quite. Very unintended. That only shows that God is bigger than our intentions–that he creates good out of evil. It certainly isn’t an endorsement of Mr. Chick’s paranoiac nonsense.Guys, guys, guys
I think Post 91 in this thread is an example of unintended consequences!
We better not jinx it though, perhaps we should just call for a cure for Jack’s insanity and get him to actually see what’s wrong with himself so he can fix it.Quite. Very unintended.
