Nothing at all. But all this bulldust they talk about as being ‘evidence’ is nothing of the sort. They are free to say anything they like in front of the cameras but in court…? No way. They have to produce the goods. And they are governed by professional ethics, rules of civil procedure and rules of evidence. And there are professional penalties should they not do that.

That’s why the cases are being constantly thrown out. All they have (and all they can produce) is affidavits. Which are sworn statements which need evidence to back them up. And, for what must be the twentieth time I have used this statement in the last week or so - there is no evidence.

Anyway, s’all over now. The Electoral College in California just gave Biden the votes he needed for a majority.

Well, I say all over. Bar the shouting.
 
Trump doesn’t leave office. The office leaves him. At 12:01 p.m. Jan 20, 2021, he’s no longer president.

Even if he doesn’t (God forbid), Harris would be sworn in. And if not her, Pelosi, and so on down the line. Just as I told all the sad Clinton supporters in 2016, there is no mechanism for deciding “Something happened to the guy we elected, I guess we put the losing candidate in.”

(It thankfully didn’t go quite as far as 50+ court cases and “alternative” electors, but there were definitely Dems hoping for a way to essentially annul the 2016 election and somehow hand it to Clinton/Kaine. That is not, as they say, how any of this works, for her then or for Trump now.)

The xenophobia and racism against China really began when the right blamed and falsely accused China of manufacturing the COVID virus and spreading it throughout the world to help Biden to be elected President. The far-right has called COVID the China Flu continuously as a pejorative.That is preposterous on so many levels. In other worlds, that boat don’t float.

I’m not politically right-leaning (though I’m not surprised CAF-ers assume I am).

Honest, open-eyed conversation about the political corruption of the human-rights-abusing Chinese government, has nothing to do with xenophobia or racism. It also precedes COVID. The Chinese people are the biggest victims of the corrupt Chinese government. Those who care about the Chinese people oppressed by the Chinese government are not racists, and they don’t magically become racists when the Chinese government starts to stretch its malevolent influence outside China and affect non-Chinese people too. Caring about multiple groups of people doesn’t make anyone un-care about the Chinese people.

It sounds like you’re just throwing accusations around to silence anyone who fails to say exactly what you want at all times.

Silence, I can give you. Because this non-conversation is too boring to stick around for.

But those falling silent nowadays are falling silent not because people like you have changed their minds about anything – but rather because the world is becoming a dangerous place for those who honestly discuss what they really think in public.

You can tell yourself that what the silent discuss in backrooms is how evilly racist they secretly are and how they really want to crush the poor or… whatever you imagine, that’s your (tragic) business. But that’s not the conversation you’re missing from the vast majority of people who are frightened into silence. And forcing honest conversations underground… the number of ripple-outward harms that come from that are so many, I lack the energy to begin to list them here.
